Üliõpilane:
- omab ülevaate elektrivõrkude ja elektrivarustussüsteemide aktuaalsetest probleemidest;
- oskab arvutada võimsus-, energia- ja pingekadusid lihtsates võrkudes;
- omab algteadmisi reaktiivvõimsuste kompenseerimisest ja pinge reguleerimise vahenditest;
- omab põhiteadmisi ja oskusi võimsus-, energia- ja pingekadude minimeerimiseks elektrivõrkudes;
- omab ülevaadet elektritarbijatest ja tarvititest;
- oskab määrata elektrilisi koormusi elektritarbijatel;
- omab ülevaadet tähtsamatest toiteallikatest ja oskab neid valida;
- omab ülevaadet elektrienergia kokkuhoiu võimalustest.

Ülekande-, jaotus-, kõrgepinge-, keskpinge- ja madalpinge elektrivõrgud ja elektrivarustussüsteemid. Elektrivõrkudele esitatavad nõuded. Elektrivõrkude konfiguratsioonid. Elektrivõrkude sõlmede koormused ja koormusgraafikud. Võimsuskadude arvutused. Pingelang ja pingekadu. Pingete arvutus. Pinge reguleerimise meetodid. Reaktiivvõimsuste kompenseerimine.

Electricity transmissioon, distribution networks, high and low voltage systems, electricity supply systems. Supply requirements. Network configurations. Load and load curves of buses. Power flows and losses. Voltage drop. Voltage calculation. Reactive power compensation.
Industrial electrical equipment. electrical loads, structure of low voltage electrical power networks. Supply sources. Short-circuit currents in low voltage systems. Quality of electrical energy.Protection and automatic control of the elements of the electricity supply system. Measurement in the electricity supply system. Possibilities of electricity consevation.

Semestri vältel on üks kodutöö ja üks kontrolltöö, mille positiivne sooritamine on eksamile saamise eelduseks. Eksamil on 1 arvutusülesanne ja 3 teoreetilist küsimust. Eksam on kirjalik, kestus 2 tundi.

During the semester there are the homework and the test, the positive performance of which give the access to examination. Final examination consists of one calculation exercise and 3 theoretical questions. The examination is written and lasts 2 hours.
