Alajaama struktuur ja side elektrivõrguga. Sõlmalajaamad. Läbiv- ja lõppalajaamad. Jaotusalajaamad. Kommutatsiooniaparaadid. Jaotlate skeemi koostamise põhimõtted. Alajaama elementide ja terviku töökindlus. Elektrijaamade sidumine elektrivõrguga. Voolujuhi kuumenemine koormusvoolul ja lühisel. Lühisvoolu elektrodünaamiline toime. Trafode ja autotrafode kasutamine elektrisüsteemis. Trafo soojustalitlus, isolatsiooni kulumine ja koormusvõime. Võrgu neutraali ühendamine maaga. Composition of substations. Bulk transmission substation and terminal substation. Distribution substation. Primary equipment. Design principles of circuit diagrams of switchgear for various voltages. Reliability of primary equipment of substation. Connection of power station to network. Thermal behaviour of current conductor at continuous operation and under short-circuit conditions. Dynamic behaviour of current conductor under short-circuit conditions. Transformers and auto-transformers in power systems. Thermal behaviour and load carrying capability of transformer. Connection of Sy neutral point of system to earth. Synchronous compensator and capacitor bank in substation. Measuring voltages and currents. Auxiliary equipment. Earthing systems. Design of switchgear. Control and alarm equipment in substation.

Eksami eelduseks on praktiliste tööde (3 tööd) sooritamine ja edukas kaitsmine. Eksam on kirjalik, kestusega 2 tundi. Eksamipiletis on kuni 10 küsimust.

During the semester there are three practical calculation works, positive performance of theirs give the access to examination. Examination consists of up to 10 theoretical questions. The examination is written and lasts 2 hours.
