- oskab modelleerida elektrivõrgu elemente ja tarbijaid;
- oskab arvutada ülekande- ja jaotusvõrkude püsiseisundi erinevatel meetoditel;
- omab põhjalikke teadmisi reaktiivvõimsuste kompenseerimisest ja pinge reguleerimise vahenditest;
- omab põhiteadmisi ja oskusi võimsus-, energia- ja pingekadude minimeerimiseks elektrivõrkudes.

- study to calculate losses of power, of energy and of voltage;
- calculate the state of transmission and distribution networks with different methods;
- have complete knowledge on evaluation of reactive power compensation and voltage control devices;

Keerukad elektrivõrgud. Keeruka elektrivõrgu konfiguratsioonid. Koormuse modelleerimine. Elektrivõrgu elementide modelleerimine. Võimsusvood ja -kaod. Pingete arvutus. Võimsusvoogude teooria. Elektrivõrgu mudeli koostamine. Probleemid võimsusvoogude määramisel. Sõlmepingete meetod. Sõlmejuhtivuste maatriks. Sidumaatriks. Gauss-Seideli meetod. Newton-Rapshoni meetod. Pinge reguleerimise meetodid keerukates elektrivõrkudes. Reaktiivvõimsuste kompenseerimine. Alalisvooluühendused.

Electricity transmission and distribution intricate networks. Network configurations. Load and load curves. Modelling load of buses. Modelling network components. Power flows and losses. Voltage calculation. Load Flow studies. Network model formulation. Load flow problem. Bus voltage method. Bus admittance matrix. Incidence matrix. Gauss-Seidel method. Newton-Rapshson method. Methods of voltage control. Reactive power compensation. DC electrical networks.

Semestri vältel on kaks kodutööd, mille mõlema positiivne sooritamine on eksamile saamise eelduseks. Eksamil on 4 teoreetilist küsimust ja üks arvutusülesanne. Eksam on kirjalik, kestus 2 tundi.

During the semester there are two homeworks, the positive performance of both gives the access to examination. Final examination consists of 4 theoretical questions and one question that requires calculations. The examination is written and lasts 2 hours.
