Anda teadmisi uutest ideedest jaotusvõrkude ja tarbijate elektrivarustuse uuendamiseks, paindlikkuse suurendamiseks ning elektri tootjate ja tarbijate integreerimiseks elektrisüsteemi parema talitluse huvides.

Ülevaade elektri jaotusvõrkude ja elektrivarustussüsteemide arengutendentsidest. Intelligentsete elektrivõrkude struktuur, valdused ja komponendid sh ülevaade alalis- ja vahelduvvooluvõrkude erisusest. Tarkade linnade ja nullenergiahoonete roll intelligentsetes elektrivõrkudes. Jõupooljuhtmuundurite rakendused intelligentsetes võrkudes. Elektri kvaliteeti mõjutavad tegurid ja seda parendavad meetmed nagu energia salvestamine ja koormuste juhtimine. . Küberturvalisusega seotud ohud. Intelligentsete elektrivõrkudega seotud standardid.

An overview about the developments in the field of electrical distribution networks and power supply systems. Smart grid and technological solutions. Use of semiconductor power converters in substations of electrical distribution networks. Regulation of voltage and reactive power. Energy storage. Direct current distribution lines and converters. High frequency transformers. Flexible alternating current transmission FACTS. Use of direct current in the electrical installations of power consumers. Demand side management for the load regulation in the network. Local and micro grids. Integration of small scale electricity producers with electricity networks.
