course aims in Estonian
- laiendada professionaalseid oskusi ideede digitaalsel modelleerimisel 3D programmides ning süvendada vaatlus-, kujutamis- ja väljendamisoskust fotograafias;
- tutvustada fotograafia taustsüsteemi kunsti- ja arhitektuuriajaloos ning anda ülevaade arengusuundadest kaasajal;
- luua terviklik ettekujutus nii analoog- kui digitaalfoto tehnoloogiatest ning anda praktilised oskused töövõtete kasutamiseks, eksperimenteerida erinevates loomingulistes ülesannetes;
- anda ülevaade digitaalsete esitlustehnikate võimalustest ja piirangutest keskendudes 3D ja 4D programmidele mitmemõõtmelise mudeli loomisel (linnaruum, hoone / ehitis või objekt);
- tagada küllaldane ettevalmistus esitluseks vajalike arvutiprogrammide praktiliseks kasutamiseks ning teadmisi vastavalt eesmärgile iseseisvalt täiendada (fototöötlus; digitaalne modelleerimine, animatsioonid jt);
- arendada oskusi visualiseerida mahukamaid ideid-projekte arvutis terviklikuks esitluseks.

- to expand professional skills of 3-dimensional digital modelling and deepen one’s observation, depiction and expression skills in photography;
- to introduce history of photography in relation to the history of art and architecture, and provide an overview of contemporary developments;
- to provide a comprehensive overview of analogue and digital technologies in photography and to provide practical skills, through experimentation with different creative tasks;
- to give a survey of possibilities and limitations of digital techniques of presentation, focusing on 3D and 4D design programs for creating multi-dimensional models of urban space, buildings, structures or objects;
- to guarantee sufficient preparedness for independent presentations, using necessary software and to develop oneself independently according to particular goals (digital photo-editing, 3-dimensional digital modelling, animations etc);
- to acquire skills of visually presenting complex projects using various software programs.

- üliõpilane arendab professionaalseid oskusi ideede digitaalsel modelleerimisel 3D programmides ning süvendab vaatlus-, kujutamis- ja väljendamisoskust fotograafias;
- omab ülevaadet fotograafia ajaloolisest taustsüsteemist kunsti- ja arhitektuuriajaloos ning tunneb kaasaegseid arengusuundi;
- tunneb fotograafia analoog- ja digitaaltehnoloogia töövõtteid ning oskab neid kasutada, eksperimenteerib erinevates loomingulistes ülesannetes;
- omab ülevaadet digitaalsete esitlustehnikate võimalustest ja piirangutest, tunneb 3D ja 4D programme ja rakendab neid mitmemõõtmelise mudeli loomisel (linnaruum, hoone/ehitis või objekt);
- oskab kasutada esitluseks vajaminevaid arvutiprogramme ja suudab vastavalt eesmärgile oma teadmisi iseseisvalt täiendada (fototöötlus; digitaalne modelleerimine, animatsioonid jt);
- oskab mahukamaid ideid-projekte visualiseerida arvutis terviklikuks esitluseks.

- the student knows the possibilities and limitations of digital techniques of presentation 3D and 4D designing programs, and is able to create the multi-dimensional model of urban space, building/structure or object;
- the student is competent with computer programs needed for presentations and is able to learn independently according to particular goals (digital photo-editing, 3-dimensional digital modelling, animations etc);
- the student has gained skills to present complex ideas/projects in thorough ways using various software programs.

Fotograafia ajaloo lühiülevaade. Fotograafia ja fenomenoloogia, fotograafia ja semiootika. Fototehnoloogia ajalugu ja digitaaltehnika. Foto ja digitaaltöötlus. Kaadri kujundamine, ajaline ja ruumiline osalisus. Stuudiofoto. Dokumentalistika. Atributsioon ja intentsionalistlik pildi tõlgendus. Fotoseeria koostamine vastavalt kursuse ülesandele.
Digitaalsete esitlustehnikate põhialused, mõisted. Esitluse kavandamine, sobivate rakenduste valik. Objektide ja keskkonna kujutamine. Fototöötlus. Digitaalne modelleerimine. Animatsioon. Esitusmeetodid. Kompositsiooni võtted. Loominguline projekt.

History of photography. Photography and phenomenology, semiotics and photography. Analogue and digital technology. Analog and digital post-processing. Rules of camera positioning and frame composition, spatial and temporal partiality. Studio photo. Documentary photography. Attribution and intentional interpretation of the image. Creative project. Series of photographs according to the course assignments.
The basics of digital technology, concepts; design of a presentation, choice of different solutions. Depicting objects and environments. Photo-editing, scale modelling, animation. Presentation techniques. Compositional techniques. Creative project.
