course aims in Estonian
- arendada arhitektuursete ja insenertehniliste objektide vabakäelise visandamise ja skemaatilise üldistamise oskusi ning ideede arendamise ja kavandamise tehnikaid;
- anda baasteadmised lineaarperspektiivist, objektide konstruktiivsest ülesehitusest ja proportsioonidest, kasutada erinevate joonistusvahendite võimalusi;
- arendada kujutlusvõimet ja analüüsioskusi mälu järgi visandamisel, objekti koostisosadeks lahutamisel, uudsete vormide ja lahenduste otsimisel;
- tutvustada tasapinnaliste ja mahuliste kompositsioonide organiseerimise printsiipe - mudel, makett;
- tutvustada kriitika- ja analüüsioskusi ning tagada küllaldane ettevalmistus iseseisvate ülesannete lahendamiseks.

- to develop free-hand sketching skills and schematic generalisation of architectural and engineering-technical objects and methods of developing, planning and presenting ideas;
- to give the basic knowledge about linear perspective, constructive composition and proportions of objects, to introduce different drawing materials;
- to refine the abilities of imagination and to develop analytical skills in drawing from memory in decomposing an object, searching for new forms and solutions;
- to attain a thorough understanding of 2- and 3-dimentional composition structures, and to apply this knowledge to practical tasks;
- to introduce critical and analytical skills in collective discussions and the skills of creating and solving independent tasks.

- the student masters various techniques of arranging 2-dimentional compositions and develops skills of 3-dimensional modelling through various practical tasks;
- the student is able to solve independent tasks creatively and takes part in group discussions.

Põhielemendid ja –tehnikaid. Joon, pind, tekstuur. Joonistamisvahendid: pliiats, marker, süsi. Motiivi valikud ja lihtsustavad skeemid. Geomeetrilised vormid, proportsioonid, konstruktiivne ülesehitus. Lineaarperspektiiv. Visandid objektidest ja keskkonnast. Tervik ja detail. Valgus, vari. Keskkond. Erinevad vaatepunktid. Vorm. Olulise ja ebaolulise eristamine, tegevuse planeerimine. Pinna- ja ruumikompositsioonid - mudel, makett. Iseseisvad ülesanded. Ekspositsiooni koostamine ja esitlemine.

Basic elements and techniques. Line, surface, texture. Drawing materials (coal, graphite, marker) and papers. Choices of a motif and simplifying schemes. Geometrical forms, proportions, constructive composition. Sketches of objects and environment. Complexity and detail. Light and shadow. Environment, Different view-points. Form. Differentiation between essential and non-essential, planning of activities. 2- and 3-dimensional compositions, models. Independent tasks. Design and composition of the presentation.
