Kursuse edukalt läbinud tudeng:
- omab teadmisi dünaamilistest soojuslikest ja niiskuslikest protsessidest;
- oskab kasutada kaasaegseid arvutusmeetodeid;
- oskab iseseisvalt ära tunda ning lahendada soojus- ja niiskustehnilisi probleeme (külmasillad, hallitus, niiskus- ja külmakahjustused jne) nii projekteerimisel, ehituses kui ekspluatatsioonis.

Student who has successfully passed the course:
- has knowledge of dynamic hygrothermal processes;
- can use modern computational methods;
- can independently recognize and solve hygrothermal problems (thermal bridges, mould, moisture and frost damage etc.) in the phases of design, construction and use of buildings.

Juhtumianalüüsil ja seminaridel põhinev õppetöö. Staatilised ja dünaamilised soojus- ja niiskuslikud protsessid. Materjaliomaduste sõltuvus keskkonnatingimustest. Niiskuskahjustused ja nende vältimine. Hindamiskriteeriumite valik. Piirdetarindite ja sõlmede ehitusfüüsikaline modelleerimine erinevates tarkvarades. Teaduskirjanduse kasutamine ja infootsioskused. Teadustöö ehitusfüüsikas. Ehitusfüüsikalised mõõtmised ja tulemuste analüüs. Oskuste rakendamine ehitiste projekteerimisel, ehitusetapis ning kasutusfaasis.

Teaching methods: case studies and seminars. Topics include: static and dynamic hygrothermal processes. Environmental dependency of material properties. Moisture damage and its avoidance. Choice of assessment criteria. Hygrothermal modelling of structures and details using different software suites. Use of scientific literature. Research in building physics. Measurements and analysis of the results. Application of these skills in design, construction and use of the buildings.
