- anda vajalikud teadmised puitkonstruktsioonide erimaterjalide alal;
- õpetada puidust suureavaliste konstruktsioonide ja ruumiliste süsteemide nagu karkasshoonete, kaar ja raamhallide, puitkoorikkatuste, tornide, mastide, suureavaliste puitraketiste ja sildade arvutamise ja konstrueerimise põhiküsimusi;
- õpetada puitkonstruktsioonide tulepüsivuse määramist ja arvutamist;
- anda vajalikud teadmised komposiitkonstruktsioonide (puit-, teras- ja betoon) arvutamiseks ja konstrueerimiseks.

- the course will give necessary knowledge of different special timber materials and constructions such as large span and spatial systems, arch and frame halls, timber shell roofs, towers, masts, large span timber formworks and bridges;
- the course will give deeper knowledge on fire safety design of timber structures;
- the course will give knowledge on timber-concrete and timber-steel composite structures.

Aine läbinud üliõpilane peab:
- oskama määrata puithoonete tulepüsivust;
- oskama kirjeldada puitkonstruktsioonide erimaterjalide omadusi ja kasutusalasid;
- teadma puidust suureavaliste konstruktsioonide ja ruumiliste süsteemide nagu karkasshoonete, kaar ja raamhallide, puitkoorikkatuste, tornide, mastide, suureavaliste puitraketiste, sildade ja komposiitkonstruktsioonide arvutamise ja konstrueerimise põhiküsimusi.

- be able to design fire resistance of timber structures;
- be able to describe the wood-based materials used for structures;
- know main principles of design of spatial systems, arch and frame halls, timber shell roofs, towers, masts, large span timber formworks and bridges.

Puitkonstruktsioonide erimaterjalid (immutatud ja termiliselt töödeldud puit, lamell-, kihtvineer-, ribavineerpuit). Puithoonete tulepüsivuse määramine. Puidu bio- ja tulepüsivuse tõstmine. Puidust karkasselamud ja ruumilised moodulid. Suureavaliste puitkonstruktsioonide ja ruumiliste süsteemide nagu karkasshoonete, kaar ja raamhallide, puitkoorikkatuste, tornide, mastide, suureavaliste puitraketiste, sildade ja komposiitkonstruktsioonide arvutamine ja konstrueerimine.
