The objective of the subject is give a basic knowledge about depicting air state change in IX-chart, air treatment processes in different indoor and outdoor parameters, air treatment solutions and devices.

Teab niiskeõhu diagrammi olemusest, sellel kajastatud parameetrite omavahelistest seostest.
Oskab kujutada niiskeõhuoleku muutuseid niiskeõhu diagrammil.
Oskab kujutada niiskeõhu diagrammil enam levinud õhutöötluse (soojendamine, jahutamine, kuivatamine, niisutamine, segunemine, kondenseerumine) protsesse.
Teab, milliseid lahendusi ja seadmeid kasutakse enam levinud õhutöötlusprotsesside tagamiseks, millised on nende lahenduste ja seadmete tööpõhimõtted.

Knows about the essence of the IX-chart and relations between the pramaters reflected there.
Has knowledge about depicting the air state change in IX-chart.
Can describe the most common air treatment processes ( heating, cooling, dehumidifying; humidifying, mixing, condensing ) in IX-chart.
Knows which solutions and devices are used in most common air treatment processes and which are the work principles of these solutions and devices.

Õppeaine baseerub loengutele ja praktilisele tööle.
Teooria raames käsitletakse järgmisi teemasid:
Niiskeõhu omadused. Niiskeõhudiagramm. Õhu oleku muutuste kujutamine niiskeõhudiagrammil: õhu soojendamine, jahutamine, niisutamine, kuivatamine, polütroopne protsess. Soojus- ja massivahetus. Õhutöötlemisprotsessid ruumis. Õhutöötlemisprotsessid erinevatel välisõhu tingimustel. Õhutöötlusprotsessideks kasutatavad lahendused ja seadmed. Illustreerivad näited keerulisemat õhu töötlust vajavate ruumide (serveriruum, muuseumi näitusesaal, arhiiv vms) lahendustest.

The subject is based on lectures and practical works.
The theoretical part will cover the following topics:
Air state features. IX-chart. Depicting the air state change in the IX-chart: air heating, cooling, dehumidifying; humidifying; plytropic process. Thermal and mass exhange. Air treatment processes in a room. Air treatment processes in different outdoor conditions. Solutions and equipment used in air treatment processes. Illustrative examples of solutions of the rooms that need complicated air treatment (such as server room, museum or exhibition hall, archives) are presented.

Tegemist on eksmiga lõppeva õppeainega. Hindamine toimub ja lõpphinne kujuneb kodutööde, laboratoorsete tööde, kontrolltöö ja eksami tulemuste põhjal.

The subject ends with an exam. The assessment is conducted and the final mark is established based on the results of the homework assignments, laboratory works, test and exam.
