Numbrilise ja parameetrilise projekteerimise tarkvara kasutamise tähtsus aina kasvab nii projekteerimise valdkonnas kui uurimistöös. Selline tehnoloogia lubab projekteerida hooneid paremini, lühema ajaga ja väiksemate ressurssidega. Õppeesmärgid on õpetada kaasaegseid mudelprojekteerimise
tehnoloogiaid ehitiste projekteerimises (BIM, ehitusinfo modelleerimine), numbrilise arvutuste tehnoloogiad parameetrilise projekteerimise abil ja kütte- ja ventilatsiooni torustike masinprojekteerimist. Numbriliste arvutuste
tehnoloogiat tundev üliõpilane on professionaalsem ja konkurentsivõimelisem
tulevikus tööturul.

The use of digital and parametric design tools is always more and more important for the activity of design and research for engineers. It allows to design in shorter time and with less resources more performative buildings.
The study objectives are to render the students aware of the latest technologies of Building Information Modelling for building design, computational design methodologies through parametric design and automated HVAC pipe design. With computational design skills the students will be more professional and also more competitive in the job market.

- Üliõpilased on võimelised projekteerida hoone elemendid BIM tarkvara abil ning seostada neid elemente kogu hoone parameetrilise mudeliga mis sisaldab nii geomeetriat kui materjalide omadusi ning koguseid.
- tulevased insenerid saavad tuttavaks parameetrilise projekteerimise
tehnoloogiaga ja selle seostega BIM-ga; saavad teada kuidas parameetriline
projekteerimine suudab parendada traditsioonilist numbrilist projekteerimist
(masinprojekteerimist) suurendades produktiivsust ja integreerides erinevad
projekteerimise aspektid
- üliõpilased saavad teadmised torustike ja lõppseadmete mudelprojekteerimisest

The outcomes of the course are:
- the students will learn how to design building elements with BIM software and put these in relation for an adequate information model that include not only the geometry of the building but also the material characteristics and quantities
- the future engineers will get an introduction to the use of parametric design to use in relation to BIM models to enhance the possibilities given by computational design in terms of productivity and integration of different design aspects
- the students will get the knowledge about pipe design and end units design integrated into the BIM software, necessary skill for the HVAC engineer nowadays

Üliõpilane peab osalema vähemalt ¾ loengutest. Vahelejäetud loengute teemasid peab õppima iseseisvalt nt kodus kasutades loengute konspekte jm õppematerjale. Kursuse lõpus on 2 kontrollülesannet mida peab lahendama klassis (üks ülesanne on seotud väikse hooneosa modelleerimisega ja teine lihtsa KVJ süsteemi modelleerimisega).

The students have to follow at least 3/4 of the lectures. The topics thay could not follow they can study at home with the study material. At the end there are two tests with exercises in class one for the design of a simple model of a building part the other for the design of simple pipe systems.

Iseseisev töö on vajalik ainult siis kui ei osaleta nõutavas arvus loengutes, mis on ¾ kogu kursuse mahust. Samuti, iseseisev töö võib osutuda vajalikuks seoses ettevalmistamisega kontrollülesanneteks.

Independent work is required only if the student will be not present in class for an
adequate number of lectures that is 3/4 of the course. The student can also have
independent work for the preparation to the test.
