brief description of the course in Estonian
Üldine sissejuhatus makromolekulide teadusesse: põhilised erinevused madal- ja kõrgmolekulaarsete ühendite vahel, makromolekulide süntees, polümeeride füüsikalis-keemilised omadused, polümeeride nomenklatuur. Polümeeride struktuur: ahela ehitus, suurus ja konformatsioon, struktuuri ja omaduste vahelised sõltuvused. Molekulaarjõud polümeerides. Molaarmass ja selle jaotus. Polümeermaterjalide klassifikatsiooni põhimõtted, termilised faasiüleminekud polümeerides: klaasisiire, sulamine ja kristallumine. Polümeeride viskoelastsus. Polümeeride struktuuri ja mehaaniliste omaduste vahelised seosed. Kursus hõlmab erinevaid polümeeritüüpe, sünteetilisi ja looduslikke.
