Arendada üliõpilaste iseseisva praktilise töö oskusi, mis on seotud tootearenduse ja tootmistehnoloogia kavandamisega puittooteid, mööblit, pehmet mööblit ning plasttooteid (profiilmaterjalid, survevalu- ja rotovormitavad jt. tooteid) tootvates ettevõtetes. Anda üliõpilastele praktiliste ja teaduslike probleemide lahendamisel töökogemus nii ettevõtetes kui ka ülikoolide teaduslaborites.
Arendada üliõpilaste tootearendus või teadusprojekti juhtimise ja läbiviimise oskusi ja anda neile kogemusi meeskonnatöös nii teaduslaboratooriumis kui ettevõtetes.

To develop student’s individual practical working skills related to product development and production technology planning of wooden products, furniture, upholstery or plastic products (extruded, injection moulded, or rotomoulded products) in Estonian companies.
To develop the product development and project management and implementation skills in private companies or scientific research laboratories.

Üliõpilane oskab lahendada tootearendusega seotud probleeme ja kavandada tootmistehnoloogiat ning analüüsida majanduskulusid. Reaalsete inseneriprobleemide lahendamise oskuse omandamine. Üliõpilane oskab kavandada puidu-, mööbli- ja plastitööstuse toote tootmisprotsessi. Valida sobilikku materjali ning valmistamistehnoloogiat. Kavandada tootmisliini vastavalt tehnoloogilisele marsruudile. Üliõpilane oskab arvestada tootmisprotsessi kulusid ja toote omahinda. Üliõpilane teab peamisi tootele esitatavaid kvaliteedinõudeid. Üliõpilane oskab lahendada tootmise efektiivsemaks muutmisega seotud probleeme ja pakkuda välja tehnilisi lahendusi. Üliõpilane oskab kirjutada korrektseid aruandeid oma projekti raames läbi viidud tööde kohta.

Projekt 3 sisuks on tootearendus- ja tootmistehnoloogia kavandamine koos majanduskulude analüüsiga. Materjali valik ja detaili valmistustehnoloogia kavandamine puidu-, mööbli- ja plastitööstuses. Detaili tootmisprotsessi kavandamine. Seadmete valik ja arvutus. Vormide ja abirakiste projekteerimine ja tellimine. Tootmistehnoloogia planeerimine, omahinna arvutus ja tootmiskulude analüüs. Layout planeerimine. Aspiratsioonisüsteemi planeerimine. Tehnoloogiline marsruut. Tootmisliini koostamine ja tootmistakt. Energiakulude arvutus. Omahinna arvestus. Tootmisplaani koostamine. Tootmisressursside planeerimine.

The content of the project is based on planning of product development process, production technology with calculation and analysis of economic costs.
Material selection and design of a production technology for construction details in wood, furniture and plastics industry. Production planning self-cost calculation and analysis of production cost. Selection of appropriate equipment for technology lines and calculations Process route. Quality requirements in production. Improving the effectiveness of production. Layout planning. Aspiration system planning. Calculation of energy consumption and cost. Self-cost calculation. Creating a production plan. Production resource planning.
