Anda vajalikud teadmised varda tugevusarvutusteks liittöö seisundis, siirete ja stabiilsuse arvutusteks. Tutvustada materjalide katsetamise meetodeid. Tutvustada materjalide väsimusnähtust ja dünaamilise koormamise mõju talakonstruktsioonidele.

Course provides knowledge to perform strength analysis of a beam structures for combined internal loads, to calculate beam deflections and perform stability analysis. Course provides knowledge to give knowledge about material testing, fatigue and dynamic loading influence.

Kursuse läbinud üliõpilane oskab:
- määrata liittööseisundis vardas pingeid ja hinnata nende ohtlikkust;
- dimensioneerida varrast ja arvutada varda siirdeid;
- teha tugevusanalüüsi lihtsama staatikaga määramatu varda jaoks;
- määrata surutud saleda varda stabiilsusarvutus;
- teha vardale tugevusarvutust kandevõimemeetodil;
- määrata dünaamiliselt koormatud talas pingeid ja siirdeid.

Course provides ability for strength assessment of a beam structures. Course enables to design a beam section in case of combined internal forces, to calculate beam deflections, to calculate displacements and stresses for simple statically indeterminate beam structure, to perform buckling analysis of columns, to estimate the ultimate strength of a beam structure. Course enables to determine stresses and deflections for dynamically loaded beam structures.

Materjalide mehaanikalised omadused ja nende katseline Varda tugevusarvutuse metoodika: piirpingemeetod ja piirkoormusemeetod. Tugevuskriteeriumid. Pingekontsentratsioon. Väsimustugevus. Varda deformatsioonid. Varda telje siirded. Elastse joone universaalvõrrand. Lihtsamaid staatikaga määramatuid konstruktsioone. Saledate varraste stabiilsus- ja tugevusarvutus. Tugevusarvutus kandevõimemeetodil. Dünaamika põhimõisted ning dünaamilise koormuse mõju.

Mechanical properties and testing of materials. Material models. Limit state at a point of material. Beam strength analysis methods: method of limit stress and method of limit load. Failure criteria. Stress concentration. Fatigue. Beam deformations and displacements. Universal equation of the elastic line. Simple statically indeterminate structures. Buckling and strength analysis of column. Strength analysis by the method of limit load. Basics of dynamics and the influence of dynamic load.

Hindeline kirjalik eksam hindevahemikus 0-5. Harjutusülesannete lahendamine on eksamieeldusteks. Kontrolltööde keskmine hinne võib asendada eksami hinnet. Eksamist moodustab 70% ülesanded ja 30% teooria.

Written exam with the grade in scale 0-5. Home exercises are requested in order to pass the examination. Medium grade of the written tests may replace the examinations. Examination consists of the theoretical part (30%) and exercises (70%).
