Tänapäevased inseneri töövahendid baseeruvad arvutustehnikal. Eesmärgiks on seatud nende vahendite ja meetodite tutvustamine ja konkreetsete ülesannete läbiviimine tänapäevaste modelleerimis- ja simulatsiooni süsteemidega.

Nowdays engineering tools are based on computer technologies. The goal is to present these methods and tools and solve some industrial problems with these technologies.

Mudelite tüübid. Modelleerimise protseduur ja meetodid. Toodete füüsikalis-mehaaniliste omaduste modelleerimine (struktuurianalüüs); protsesside modelleerimine (elektri- ja temperatuuriväljad, vedelike ja gaaside voolamine); toodete ja protsesside omaduste katseline uurimine. Eksperimentaalne modaalanalüüs. Erinevate ülesannete lahendamine LEM programmipaketiga ANSYS.

Types of Models. Modeling methods. Modeling of physical properties of products (structural analysis); modeling of processes (electrical- and temperature fields, fluid dynamics); physical testing of products and processes. Experimental modal analysis. Solving different problems with FE program ANSYS. Classical theory of Strength of materials. Stress analysis. Local stresses and fatique.
