Anda üliõpilasele teadmised, oskused ja õige mõttelaad keerukate seadmete projekteerimiseks, kaasaegsete projekteerimismeetodite kasutamiseks, seadmete inimese-kohasuse ja keskkonnahoiu järgimiseks.

The aim of the topics is to give students appropriate knowledge and mindset that will induce their capability to use modern Engineering Design methodologies for design the complicated equipment with respect of man-machine iteration and environment.

Oskus arvestada projekteerimise turu- ja tarbijakesksust ning hinnata projekteerimisega seotud riske.
Mõistab projekteerimise ajalist arengut ja korraldamist muutuvas keskkonnas. Oskus positsioneerida projekteerimisprotsessi firma sees, koostada projekti meeskonda ja läbi otstarbeka rollijaotuse seda juhtida.

Tehnilised süsteemid ja nende omadused. Masinaehituslik süsteem materjali, energia ja info muundamiseks. Funktsionaalne, füüsikaline ja kujunduslik sõltuvus. Projektülesande defineerimine, ülesande selgitamise meetodid ja nõuete püstitamine. Nõuete liigid. Nõuete loetelu koostamine. Ülesande struktureerimise meetodid. Funktsioonistruktuuri elemendid ja sümbolid, funktsiooniskeemide koostamine. Põhimõttelahenduse otsingumeetodid. Korrastusskeemide kasutamine. Füüsikaliste efektide leidmine ja valik. Lahenduspõhimõtete kombineerimine. Konstruktsiooni kujundamise meetodid. Kujunduse varieerimine. Konstruktsiooni valdkondade teooria. Konstruktsiooni struktuurimaatriksid. Moodulprojekteerimine. Keskkonnakeskne projekteerimine.

Technical systems and their properties. Mechanical system for transformation of material, energy and information. Functional, physical and shape design dependencies. Definition of project task, methods of clarifying the task and determining requirements. Types of requirements. Composing of specification of requirements. Methods of structuring the task. Elements of functional structure, symbols, for functional schemes. Methods of searching for principle solutions. Finding and selection of physical effects. Theory of design domains. Design structure matrixes. Design for modularity. Environmmentally friendly design principles.

Eksamitöö on kirjalik ja selles tuleb vastata 5 lühiküsimusele, mis kontrollivad kursuse oluliste osade mõistmist ja nõutavate oskuste olemasolu vastavalt kirjeldatud õpitulemustele. Eksamile pääseb vähemalt 80% harjutusülesannete soorituse ja individuaaltöö soorituse korral.

Examination is in written form and to the 5 short questions is necessary to answer. Answers must give the evidence of grasp the substantial parts of topics and required abilities according to the study outcomes. To the examination is allowed after at least 80% of training exercises and individual work performance.
