Tootearenduse põhimõtetest lähtuv konstruktiivne projekt mingi uue toote projekteerimiseks. Projekti teemaks on reeglina kaasaegse APJ tööpingi peaajami projekteerimine. Kokkuleppel võib teema olla ka üliõpilase poolt valitud. Sobiv on ka tööstusettevõtte poolt pakutav ülesanne neile perspektiivselt vajaliku toote projekteerimiseks. Projekteerimisel tuleb juhinduda projekteerimise metoodika, tootmiskeskse projekteerimise ning keskkonna ja hinnakeskse projekteerimise õppeaineis toodud tegevusskeemidest ja soovitustest.

Design of some new product based on methods of product development. Traditional topic is the design of spindle drive for NC machine tool. Especially suitable is a design task offered by an industrial company for the design of a product. During the work, guidance will be taken from previous courses of engineering design, design for manufacturing and assembly, environment-, and cost-driven design.

Projekti avalikul esitlusel/kaitsmisel tuleb esitada projekti seletuskiri, toote CAD mudel ja 1-2 lehte koostejooniseid (formaadis A1).
