Kaasaegsete mehaanikainseneri töövahendite tundmaõppimine ja ülesannete lahendamine tänapäevaste modelleerimis- ja simulatsiooni süsteemidega (LEM, 3D CAD ja MBS süsteemid).

Raalkonstrueerimissüsteemide liigitus, kasutusalad ja areng; masinaehitustoodete geomeetria, kinemaatika, dünaamika modelleerimine ja analüüs; toodete omaduste kirjeldamine (feature modelling); enam kasutatavate süsteemide iseloomustus ja kasutusalad; erinevate süsteemide integreerimine; tooteandmete haldamine jaotatud süsteemides; süsteemide ProEngineer ja SolidEdge praktiline kasutamine.

Overview of computer design systems. Types of models. Ways of modelling product geometry. Direct and parametrical modelling, modelling by concepts. Parametrical models. Material specifications. Data exchange between program packages. Data exchange standards. Data bases and standard parts. Overview of parametrical 3D CAD system. Practical work with CAD systems. Introduction to strength calculations. Ideology of working with FEM program. Practical work with FEM system.

Eksamile pääsemise eelduseks on praktiliste tööde kaitsmine ja iseseisva töö raames e-õppe kursuse läbimine.
60% koondhindest moodustab kirjaliku eksami tulemus (5 küsimust) ja 40% praktilise töö tulemus.
