Anda teadmisi erinevates ehitusmaterjalides nagu betoonid, tehiskivid , puit-, isolatsiooni-, klaas-, polümeer- ja viimistlusmaterjalid, korrosiooniprotsessidest õpetades vältima destruktiivseid protsesse ehitise projekteerimisel, materjalide valikul, ehitamisel ja ekspluatatsioonis kõige erinevamates kasutus- ja keskkonnatingimustes. Kestvus ja püsivus.

Knowledge about typical destruction processes of the various building materials as concrete, the other various building materials and constructions. Types of corrosion processes in the various mortars and concrete, insulation materials, plastics and other polymer materials, timber, glass, natural and artificial stones: processes, their nature, recognition, progress, durability conditions. Life time and durability.

Aine sooritanud üliõpilane:
- tunneb ja oskab vältida enamkasutatavate konstruktsiooni-, isolatsiooni- ja viimistlusmaterjalide lagunemisprotsesse ja neid põhjustavaid asjaolusid;
- oskab välja selgitada korrosiooniilmingute põhjuseid ning vältida nende tekkimist;
- oskab valida materjale, mis tagavad ehitiste ja rajatise püsivuse.

Aine käsitleb erinevate ehitusmaterjalide koostisest ja omadustest sõltuvaid püsivustingimusi, korrosiooni-protsesse ja kaitset erinevais ilmastiku- ja ekspluata -tsioonitingimustes. Käsitletakse raudbetooni, mörtide ja krohvide, värvide, liimide mastiksite ja plastide, metallide, klaas-, bituumen-, isolatsiooni- ja puitmaterjalide püsivuse ning nende kooskasutamise tingimusi, võimalike korrosiooniprotsesside kulgu ning nende nende uurimise meetodeid. Käsitletakse abinõusid lagunemisprotsesside ärahoidmiseks ja selgitatakse kehtivaid normdokumente. Tutvustatakse materjalide ja konstruktsioonide püsivuse ja eluea prognoosimise võimalusi.

Destruction processes in various materials as various mortars, concrete, metals, timer and timber composites, plastics, polymers, paints, glues, bitum, insulation materials and glass: types, signs of corrosion, testing, duration and progress as function of exposure conditions, building technology process, climate conditions and material composites in construction. Types of aggressive conditions causing corrosion phenomena. Methods of testing and service life planning. Normative documents.

Üliõpilane valib korrosioonitunnustega rajatise, kirjeldab seda, kasutatud materjale ning ekspluatatsiooni ja keskkonnatingimusi. Koostab referaadi, mis kirjeldab kahjustusi, leiab nende põhjused ja koostab võimalike parandustööde, renoveerimise abinõude plaani.
