brief description of the course in Estonian
Geograafiliste infosüsteemide ülesehituse põhimõtted. Standardid geoinformaatikas. GIS kui andmekogu. Reaalsusmudel, andmemudel, esitusmudel, teostusmudel. Arvutikaardid ja maastikumudelid. Koordinaatsüsteemid ja projektsioonid. Geograafilise info töötlemine ja analüüs. GPS asukohamääramise võimaluste kasutamine. Lihtsamad topoloogilised seosed ja nende kasutamine ArcGIS näitel. Riiklikud ruumiandmete registrid ja nendes sisalduvate andmete kasutusvõimalused.
Võimalikud harjutused:
• GIS teemakaartide koostamine kasutades programmi ArcGIS;
• Veebikaardi loomine ja andmete pilvepõhine analüüs.
• GIS kasutamine planeeringutes.
• Valgala määratlemine ning GIS tööriistad vertikaalplaneerimises
• GIS kasutamine Tallinna kesklinna parkimistsoonide näitel.
• Reaalaja GPS andmete kasutamine Tallinna ühistranspordivõrgu toimimise analüüsis
• Eesti maanteedel toimunud liiklusõnnetuste analüüs ja teemakaartide koostamine kasutades programmi ArcGIS;
• Eesti ühistranspordivõrgu analüüs kasutades ArcGIS topoloogilisi funktsioone.
• Maa-ameti X-GIS kaardirakenduste kasutamine
• Aerolaserskaneerimise andmetest maastikumudeli koostamine
