VERSION SPECIFIC DATA
course aims in Estonian
Anda üliõpilastele kognitiivsed oskused mõõtmistäpsuse kriteeriumite valiku osas ja praktilised oskused nende kehtestamiseks, leidmiseks ja hindamiseks
course aims in English
To give the students cognitive skills on determining the measurement accuracy criteria and applying in practice
learning outcomes in the course in Est.
1. Defineerib ainesse puutuvaid mõisteid ja reegleid;
2. Eristab lahenduste metoodikaid vastavalt liikidele;
3. Hindab mõõtmistulemuste täpsust;
4. Praktiseerib erinevat liiki tasandusmeetodeid, jaotades vajadusel mõõtmisprotsessi osadeks, leiab osaparandid ja hindab täpsuse
learning outcomes in the course in Eng.
1. Defines concepts and rules of the measurement processing theory;
2. Selects methods of solutions depending on the input data types;
3. Estimates accuracy and precision of the geodetic measurements;
4. Practices different kinds of adjustment methods (incl. division of the surveying procedure into parts and finding the partial corrections) and the accuracy estimations.
brief description of the course in Estonian
Mõõtmishälvete klassifikatsioon. Mõõtmistäpsuse ja mõõtmismääramatuse kriteeriumid. Mõõdetud suuruse funktsiooni keskmine ruuthälve, ümardamis-viga. Täpsushinnang hälvete järgi aritmeetilisest keskmisest ja kaksikmõõtmiste vahede järgi. Mõõtmiste kaalud. Korrelatsioon ja regressioon. Tolerantsid.

brief description of the course in English
Classification of the measurement deviations. Basics of the measurement uncertainty and accuracy. Mean square deviation of the observed function, rounding error. Accuracy estimation by means of deviations from the arithmetic mean and by means of discrepancies. Weights of measurements. Correlation and regression. Tolerances. Deviation ellipse. Principles of least square method. Adjustment by means of reduction to minimum number of unknowns and method of correlates.

Home assignments:
Home-works on computation of function mean square deviations and rounding errors, mean square deviations and correlation and regression of data files, adjustment of geodetic networks.
type of assessment in Estonian
Hindeline kirjalik eksam koosneb teoreetilistest küsimustest ja praktilistest ülesannetest. Hinne (0 kuni 5) oleneb vastuse põhjalikkusest ja täpsusest.
type of assessment in English
The written final exam comprises of practical computations and theoretical questions. The grade (0 to 5) of the exam depends on the adequacy of the answers.
independent study in Estonian
Iseseisev töö on vajalik igaks loenguks ning praktikumiks valmistumisel, aga ka koduste tööde tegemisel ning eksamiks valmistumisel.
independent study in English
Independent study is requred for participation in lectures and practical classes, also for completing home assignments and preparing for the final exam.
