Anda ülevaade puitkonstruktsioonide arvutusalustest. Tutvuda eri tüüpi puitsildadega. Selgitada puidu kasutamise eeliseid ja puuduseid sillaehituse seisukohalt. Anda praktiline kogemus lihtsama puitsilla projekteerimiseks.

To give review for basic design principles of timber structures. Introduce to different kind of timber bridges. Explain advantages and lacks of using timber for bridge structures. Give a practical experience for design wooden bridge.

Characteristics of natural timber and glue-laminated timber. Injuries and protection of timber structures. Different types of timber bridges. Girder bridges. Arch bridges. Timber deck slabs. Establisment and maintenance of timber bridges. Wooden girder or arch bridge project.
