2. Tunneb kaasaegseid arvutuspakette sillakonstruktsioonide arvutamiseks ja oskab neid kasutada.
3. On võimeline analüütiliselt arvutama üksikut elastset niiti ja lihtsamat tüüpi rippsilda.
4. Tunneb suureavaliste sildade eri konstruktsioone ja nende arvutusaluseid.

Numbrilised arvutusmeetodid. Lõplike elementide meetodi kasutamine sillakonstruktsioonide arvutusel. Silladeki arvutusprogrammid - Staad, Beava. Ripp- ja vantsildade konstruktsioonid. Ülevaade ripp- ja vantsildade ehitusest. Trosside tüübid. Elastse niidi arvutusalused. Pidev- ja diskreetne arvutusmeetod. Rippsildade dekiehitus. Püloonide tüübid. Vantsildade rajamise viisid. Vantsildade dünaamiline analüüs.

Discrete computational methods. Finite element method, application to the bridge structures. Calculation programs - Staad, Beava. Suspension and cable stayed bridge structures. Introduction to construction suspension and cable stayed bridges. Stay cable types. Calculation methods for a elastic thin cable. Discrete and continual methods for suspension and cable stayed bridges. Superstructure of the suspension bridges. Pylon types. Construction of cable stayed bridges. Dynamic analysis of cable stayed bridges.
