Anda ülevaade teede projekteerimist reguleerivatest normdokumentidest ja juhenditest, põhiteadmised tee geomeetrilisest projekteerimisest, teekonstruktsiooni projekteerimise alustest ning linnatänavate projekteerimise erisustest. Esmaste praktiliste kogemuste omandamine kursuseprojekti raames.

1. Normatiivaktide ja juhendite süsteem, teede ja tänavate võrk ja liigitus. AKÖL ja liiklusprognoos, projekteerimise lähtetasemed, projektkiirus
2. Sõidukid, gabariidid ja dünaamikanäitajad, ohutus- ja mugavusnõuded. Haardetegur
3. Tee geomeetriline kujundamine - rist- ja pikiprofiil, plaanikõverad ja üleminekukõverad, püstkõverad, piki- ja põikkalded ning viraaž, laiendus koos põhjuslike seostega. Nähtavus (peatumisnähtavus ja sellest tulenevad parameetrid; möödasõidunähtavus; ristmikunähtavus), andestav tee (ohutus).
4. Tee projekteerimist mõjutavad piirkonna klimaatilised tingimused. Pinnas ja materjal; sõelkõver ning filtratsioon ja külmakerkelisus. Tee konstruktsioon, katte liigid, koormussagedus ja katte dimensioneerimise alused, töömahtude arvutus, variantide võrdlus.
5. Ristmikud ja liiklussõlmed - liigitus, raudteeristed. Läbilaskvus ja teenindustase. Bussipeatused, piirded, parklad ja parkimisnormatiiv. Tehnovõrgud. Liikluse eristamine, liikluse rahustamine, kergliiklusteed, jagatud ruum.
6. Iseseisvad tööd: ettevalmistus järgmiseks tunniks, veojõu kontrollarvutus, projekti koostamine

1. Legal framework, road and street network and classification. AADT and forecast, required levels for design, design speed.
2. Vehicles, geometric and dynamic characteristics, safety and comfortability requirements. Friction factor.
3. Geometry design – longitudinal profile and cross-section, vertical and horizontal curves (incl transition curves) and slopes; virage and extension. Visibility, forgiving road (safety)
4. Local factors, affecting road design. Subground and materials; sieve graph, filtration and frost resistance. Structural design of road construction, pavement classification, ESAL and basics of pavement design, calculation of volumes and comparison of alternatives.
5. Intersections and junctions, railway crossings. Capacity and Level Of Service. Bus stop, barriers, parking areas. Traffic separation, traffic calming, light traffic roads, shared space.
6. Homework: preparation for next lesson, traction balance calculation, design study (project).

- Objekti valik (distants ca 5 km, kõrguste vahe min 10 m)
- Liiklusprognoos
- Looduslike tingimuste analüüs
- Tee trassi kavandamine (plaani- ja vertikaallahendus, vähemalt kaks varianti)
- Arvutusliku sõiduaja leidmine
- Katendi valik ja kontrollarvutus vastava rakendusega
- Üldistatud mahuarvutus
- Variantide võrdlus
