1. Ristmike liigitus erinevate aluste järgi. Normatiivdokumendi valik (maa/linnapiirkond).
2. Konfliktpunktid ja konfliktala, nähtavusnõuded, kanaliseerimine ja ohutussaared, rambid, ristmiku geomeetria.

1. Different classifications of intersections. Application of different regulations (urban/rural).
2. Conflicts. Visibility requirements. Turning lanes, safety islands, ramps and intersection geometry.
3. Peak hour, level of service and capacity. Control calculations. Weaving area. Traffic lights. ITS applications. Light traffic on intersections.

Kursuseprojekt:
- Konkreetse ristmiku valik ja taustauuring (õnnetused, ohud, liiklussagedused)
- Liiklussageduste transformeerimine pöördeliikluseks
- Ristmiku läbilaskearvutused, ristmikutüübi valik
- Ristmikulahenduse joonise koostamine (ehituslikud alade piirid, kattemarkeering, liiklusmärgid)

- Selection of particular intersection and background study (accidents, safety risks, traffic data)
- Transformation of traffic data by directions, capacity calculation, selection of intersection type
