Aine eesmärk on kujundada üliõpilastel kompetentse, mis on seotud kemikaalide ja materjalide tootmis- ning töötlemisprotsessidega; samuti juurutada tehnoloogilist ja ökoloogilist mõtteviisi tagamaks, et tulevastel spetsialistidel on oskused arendada jätkusuutlikumaid keemilis-tehnoloogilisi protsesse ringmajanduse väärtusahelas.

The aim of this course is to develop students' competencies related to the production and processing processes of chemicals and materials; as well as a technological and ecological mindset to ensure that future professionals have the skills to develop more sustainable chemical-technological processes in the circular economy value chain.

Õppeaine läbinud üliõpilane:
- kirjeldab erinevate materjalide töötlemisviise, seletab selleks kasutatavate tehnoloogiliste lahenduste teoreetilisi põhialuseid;
- koostab töötlemisprotsesside tehnoloogilisi skeeme;
- analüüsib keemiatehnoloogiaid ning teeb ettepanekuid nende üleviimiseks väheste jäätmetega tehnoloogiateks;
- analüüsib keemiatehnoloogiaid kompleksselt kogu tehnoloogilise ahela ulatuses energeetilise ja keemilise efektiivsuse ja keskkonnahoiu seisukohalt;
- oskab kasutada valdkonnateemalist kirjandust, sh ingliskeelset.

After completing this course, the student:
- describes the processing methods of various materials, explains the theoretical fundamentals of the technological solutions used for this purpose;
- prepares technological schemes of processing processes;
- analyzes chemical technologies and makes proposals for their transfer to technologies with minimum waste;
- comprehensively analyzes chemical technologies throughout the entire technological chain from the point of view of energetic and chemical efficiency and environmental protection;
- can use literature on the field, incl. English.

Mitmeotstarbeline tööstus. C1 keemia. Vesiniku tootmine, hoidmine ja transport. Süngaas – tootmine ja töötlemine. Biolagunevad ja mittetoksilised materjalid. Biomassi töötlemise tehnoloogia. Biotoodetud materjalid ja tootmistehnoloogiad. Nanomaterjalid komposiitides. Reovee ja jäätmete töötlemine. Plastikute ümbertöötlemise tehnoloogiad. Energia salvestamise tehnoloogiad. Eesti keemiatööstuses kasutatavad tehnoloogiad.
