Õppeaine eesmärk on anda õppijale praktilised oskused Windows Serveri keskkondade kavandamiseks, juurutamiseks ja haldamiseks, et õppija oleks võimeline seadistama ja administreerima ettevõtte tüüpilisi serveriteenuseid, haldama Windows Serveri keskkondi ja lahendama levinumaid süsteemi- ja võrgutõrkeid.

The aim of the course is to provide students with practical skills for planning, deploying, and managing Windows Server environments, so that the student is able to configure and administer typical enterprise server services, manage Windows Server environments, and resolve common system and network issues.

Õppeaine läbinud üliõpilane:
- installib ja seadistab Hyper-V virtualiseerimiskeskkonna ning Windows Serveri operatsioonisüsteemi;
- loob ja haldab Active Directory domeeniteenuseid, kasutajakontosid, gruppe ning rühmapoliitikaid (GPO);
- seadistab ja haldab Windows Serveri võrguteenuseid ning enamlevinud serverirolle, sealhulgas DFS-i, Remote Desktop Services’i, Storage Serverit ja Failover Clusteringut;
- rakendab failisüsteemi õigusi ja ligipääsuhaldust ning haldab sertifikaate Windows Serveri keskkonnas;
- diagnoosib ja lahendab Windows Serveri keskkonnas esinevaid tõrkeid ja tööprobleeme;
- seadistab ja rakendab tulemüürireegleid ning turbepoliitikaid vastavalt turvanõuetele.

After completing this course the student:
- installs and configures a Hyper-V virtualization environment and the Windows Server operating system;
- creates and manages Active Directory Domain Services, user accounts, groups, and Group Policy Objects (GPO);
- configures and manages Windows Server network services and the most common server roles, including DFS, Remote Desktop Services, Storage Server, and Failover Clustering;
- applies file system permissions and access management, and manages certificates in a Windows Server environment;
- diagnoses and resolves errors and operational issues in a Windows Server environment;
- configures and enforces firewall rules and security policies in accordance with security requirements.

Eksam toimub füüsiliselt kohapeal klassis. Lubatud on kasutada ainult klassiruumi arvuteid. Tehisintellekti kasutamine on eksamil lubatud.

The exam takes place in person in the classroom. Only classroom computers may be used. The use of artificial intelligence is permitted in the exam.

Kursuse jooksul tuleb sooritada 4 kodutööd. Iga kodutöö toetab eksami ettevalmistust ning kajastab kursuse praktilisi teemasid.

During the course, 4 homework assignments must be completed. Each assignment supports exam preparation and covers the practical topics of the course.
