Õppeaine eesmärgiks on kujundada teadmised ja praktilised oskused kasutajaliidese disainist, keskendudes terviklikule disainiprotsessile, mis lähtub teenusedisaini põhimõtetest. Aine käigus omandavad õppijad arusaama sellest, kuidas liikuda kasutajakeskselt probleemi mõistmisest kuni toimiva ja testitud kasutajaliidese lahenduseni.

The aim of the course is to develop knowledge and practical skills in user interface design, focusing on a design process that is based on the principles of service design. During the subject, learners will gain an understanding of how to move from user-centered problem understanding to a working and tested user interface solution.

Õppeaine läbinud üliõpilane:
- rakendab algtasemel kasutajakeskse disainiprotsessi põhimõtteid;
- loob prototüübi;
- teostab kasutusmugavuse testimist ja hindamist;
- kirjeldab disainiprintsiipe ja -mustreid;
- analüüsib disainilahendusi ning koostab struktureeritud ülevaate (sh probleem, kasutajavajadused,
lahenduse põhjendus ja testimise tulemused).

Aine raames luuakse praktikumides ja iseseisva tööna disainiprojekt. Disainiprojekti eesmärk on läbi käia sammud probleemi defineerimisest kuni kasutajaliidese (sh mobiiliekraani vaated) lahenduse nõuete ning prototüübi valmimiseni.

This course a design project is created in practicums and as independent work. The aim of the design project is to go through the steps from defining the problem to the requirements of the user interface (including mobile screen views) solution and the creaton of the prototype.
