brief description of the course in Estonian
Individuaalne projektülesanne biomeditsiinitehnika või meditsiinifüüsika alal. Bioelektromagnetiliste ja biooptiliste signaalide interpreteerimine. Bioelektriliste, biomagnetiliste ja biooptiliste signaalide allikad inimorganismis. Ruumilised signaaliallikad. Signaalitöötluse meetodid. Signaalide omadused ja kasutamine haiguste diagnoosimisel. Ioniseeriva ja mitteioniseeriva kiirguse omadused. Kiirguse, sh laserkiirguse kasutamine meditsiinidiagnostikas ja ravis.
brief description of the course in English
Individual project work in biomedical engineering or medical physics. Topics of the projects are chosen from the following areas: intrepretation of physiological signals, sources of bioelectrical, biomagnetical and biooptical signals in human body. Application of signals in medical diagnostics. Properties of ionizing and non-ionizing radiation. Application of coherent and noncoherent radiation in medical diagnostics and therapy.
