Õppeaine eesmärgid on:
- anda üliõpilastele põhiteadmised äriinfotehnoloogia valdkonnast ja selle rollist ettevõtluses;
- arendada oskusi ja teadmisi, mis on vajalikud infotehnoloogiliste süsteemide mõistmiseks ja rakendamiseks äriprotsessides;
- julgustada üliõpilasi mõtlema kriitiliselt ja analüüsima uusi tehnoloogiaid ning nende mõju ärimaailmale;
- toetada üliõpilaste professionaalset suhtlusoskust ja meeskonnatööd IT-keskkonnas;
- valmistada üliõpilasi ette pidevaks õppimiseks ja enesearendamiseks kiiresti arenevas IT-sektoris;

The aim of the course is to:
- provide students with basic knowledge of business information technology and its role in business;
- develop the skills and knowledge needed to understand and apply information technology systems in
business processes;
- encourage students to think critically and analyse new technologies and their impact on the business world;
- support students' professional communication skills and teamwork in an IT environment;
- prepare students for continuous learning and self-development in the rapidly evolving IT sector;
- guide students in career planning and personal branding in the field of business information technology.

- arendab ja rakendab iseseisvat õpioskust ja kriitilist mõtlemist soodustades enda elukestvat õpet ja professionaalset arengut äriinfotehnoloogia valdkonnas;

Kursus Sissejuhatus erialasse ja professionaalsesse enesearendamisse loob
vundamendi äriinfotehnoloogia erialal alustamiseks. Õppeaine pakub põhiteadmisi valdkonna olemusest ja
rollist ettevõtluses, andes üliõpilastele arusaamise, kuidas infotehnoloogilised süsteemid toetavad
äriprotsesse, otsuste tegemist ja strateegilist juhtimist. Lisaks tutvustab kursus uusi ja arenevaid
tehnoloogiaid, nagu tehisintellekt ning nende mõju ettevõtluskeskkonnale.
Õppeaines ei piirdu tähelepanu ainult tehniliste teadmistega - rõhk on ka üliõpilaste professionaalse

Brief description of the course: The course lays the foundation for beginning studies in Business
Information Technology. It provides fundamental knowledge of the nature of the field and its role in
business, enabling students to understand how information technology systems support business processes,
decision-making, and strategic management. In addition, the course introduces new and emerging
technologies, such as artificial intelligence, and their impact on the business environment.
The course is not limited to technical knowledge; it also emphasises the development of students’
professional communication skills, teamwork, and personal growth. It prepares students to think critically,
create their own career plan and personal brand, and act as lifelong learners in the rapidly evolving IT
sector.
