Õppimise käigus saadakse teadmisi järgnevatelt aladelt:
Põhilised puidutöötlemise viisid.
Puidu lõikamise alused. Puidu saagimine, freesimine, lihvimine, spooni koorimine ja hööveldamine, puurimine. Seadmed, nende tehnoloogilised võimalused.
CNC tehnoloogia puidutööstuses.
Puidu laserlõikus, töötlemine veejoaga.
Pruss- ja plaattoorikute tüüptehnoloogiad.
Puidu painutamine,
Puidu kuivatuse ja hüdrotermilise töötlemise alused.

Main modes of woodworking.
Basics of wood cutting. Wood sawing, milling, sanding, veneer slicing and rotary peeling, drilling. Machinery and their technological capabilities.
CNC technology in woodworking.
Wood laser cutting and water-jet cutting.
Basics of wooden bar-blank and plate technologies.
Wood bending.
Basics of wood drying and hydro–thermal treatment

Üliõpilane:
- tunneb põhilisi puidutöötlemise viise;
- oskab orienteeruda kasutatavate seadmete tehnoloogilistes võimalustes;
- oskab planeerida tehnoloogilist protsessi, valida sobivaid seadmeid ja materjale;
- oskab lahendada tootmises esinevaid probleeme ja pakkuda välja sobivaid lahendusi.

Puidu lõikamise alused. Freesimine, ketassaagimine, lintsaagimine, raamsaagimine, lihvimine, puurimine, spooni koorimine ja hööveldamine. Vastavad lõikeriistad, nende materjalid, hooldamine. Seadmed, nende tehnoloogilised võimalused. CNC tehnoloogia puidutööstuses, puidu laserlõikus ja veejoaga lõikamine. Puittoodete tüüptehnoloogiad. Puidu painutamine. Puidu painutamine. Puidu kuivatuse ja hüdrotermilise töötluse alused.

Basics of wood cutting. Milling, disk sawing, band sawing, frame sawing, sanding, drilling, veneer peeling and slicing. Tool types, their maintenance and materials. Machinery, their technological capabilities. CNC technology in woodworking, wood laser and water jet cutting. Wood products basic technologies. Wood bending. Basics of wood drying and hydro-thermal treatment.
