- tunneb üld- ja erizooloogia aluseid ning saab neist aru;
- tunneb loomariigi süsteemi, kõrgemaid taksoneid ja nende ehitust, põlvnemist, bioloogiat, ökoloogiat;
- oskab tuua näiteid taksonite esindajate kohta.

Üldkursus, mis käsitleb nii üldzooloogia kui ka erizooloogia aluseid. Üldzooloogia: loomorganismide üldised ehitusprintsiibid ja talitlus. Erizooloogia: ülevaade selgrootutest, nende klassifikatsioonist, ehitusest ja evolutsioonilist kõrgemate taksonite tasemel. Ülevaade keelikloomadest, nende ehitus, süsteem, põlvnemine, bioloogia, ökoloogia.

Basics of both general zoology and special zoology. General zoology: general structure and function of animal organisms. Special zoology: survey of invertebrates, their classification, structure and evolution at the level of major taxa. Survey of chordata, their structure, system, origin, biology, ecology.
