Tutvustada metallorgaaniliste ühendite keemia põhimõisteid, anda ülevaade metallorgaaniliste ühendite põhilistest reaktsioonidest ja nende mehhanismidest. Tutvustada heterotsüklilisi ühendeid ja nende keemiat. Tutvustada orgaaniliste polümeeride keemiat. Anda ülevaade ensüümide kasutamisest orgaanilises keemias.

To familiarize the student with the main principles of organometallic chemistry. To give an overview of the basic reactions of organometallic compounds and their mechanisms To acquaint the student with the main classes of heterocycles and their chemistry. To familiarize student with organic polymers. To give an overview of the enzymatic reactions used in organic chemistry.

Aine läbinud üliõpilane:
- tunneb peamisi metallorgaanilisi ühendeid ja nende reaktsioone;
- teab heterotsüklite nomenklatuuri põhiprintsiipe;
- teab hetereotsüklite üldisi reaktsioone;
- omab ülevaadet orgaanilistest polümeeridest;
- omab ülevaadet ensümaatilistest reaktsioonidest orgaanilises keemias.

Metallorgaanilised ühendid, põhimõisted, nende üldised omased, ühendid I ja II rühma elementidega, ühendid siirdemetallidega, nende iseloomulikud reaktsioonid. Heterotsüklilised ühendid: kolme- kuni kuuelülised heterotsüklid, nende nomenklatuur, leidumine looduses, olulisus ravimitööstuses ja omadused. Aromaatsed heterotsüklid. Orgaanilised polümeerid, nende nomenklatuur ja klassifikatsioon. Liitumispolümeerid, anioonpolümerisatsioon, katioonpolümerisatsioon. Ensümaatilised reaktsioonid sünteetilises orgaanilises keemias. Kasutatavate ensüümide klassid ja reaktsioonide tüübid.

Organometallic compounds, their general properties. Organometallic compound with I and II Group elements, transition metal organometallic compounds and their characteristic reactions. Heterocycles: three-, four-, five- and six-membered heterocycles, their nomenclature, properties, Natural heterocycles, heterocycles in drug industry. Aromatic heterocycles. Organic polymers, nomenclature classification. Addition polymers, anionic and cationic polymerization. Enzymatic reactions in organic chemistry. Classification of enzymes and reaction types.
