Aine eesmärk on:
- tutvustada üliõpilastele bakalaureusetöödele esitatavaid põhinõudeid, bakalaureusetöö koostamise protsessi olulisi aspekte ning kaitsmisprotseduuri;
- tagada ajaline bakalaureusetöö kirjutamise protsess lähtuvalt lõputöö valmimise tähtaegadest.

The aim of this course is to:
- introduce students to the bachelor thesis requirements, thesis writing and defence process;
- ensure the timely thesis writing process based on the milestones set for the thesis completion.

Aine läbinud üliõpilane:
- mõistab bakalaureusetööle ja kavandile esitatavaid nõudeid ja tähtaegu;
- oskab formuleerida oma lõputöö raames uurimisprobleemi, eesmärgi ja uurimisküsimused/ uurimisülesanded/ hüpoteesid;
- oskab leida ja kasutada relevantset erialakirjandust, sh teadusartikleid;
- oskab valida lõputöö uurimisprobleemi lahendamiseks sobiva metoodika.

After completion of the course, the student knows:
- the requirements and deadlines set for the Bachelor thesis;
- how to formulate a thesis research problem, aim and research questions/ tasks and hypotheses;
- how to work with scientific literature, incl. research articles;
- how to select a correct methodology to solve the thesis-related research problem.

Bakalaureusetööle esitatavad nõuded. Bakalaureusetöö koostamise ja kaitsmise protsess. Potentsiaalsete juhendajate poolt pakutavate teemade tutvustused. Bakalaureusetöö fookus ja selle sisuline ülesehitus - probleem, uurimisküsimused, uurimisülesanded, töö eesmärk, hüpoteesid, uurimisobjekt, struktuur, laiendatud kavand. Töö kirjandusega - teadusartiklid versus regulatsioonid, teooria versus empiirika, otsimine, süstematiseerimine, kirjanduse ülevaate roll ja vorm bakalaureusetöös. Andmete allikad - andmete otsimine, erinevate TalTech-is kättesaadavate andmebaaside tutvustus. Metoodika valik. Kvantitatiivsed ja kvalitatiivsed uurimismeetodid, nende kombineerimine. Argumentatsioon. Akadeemiline kirjutamine - põhitõed, terminoloogia, autori panus, plagiaat, korrektne refereerimine ja viitamine sh TalTech-i majandusteaduskonna nõuded.
brief description of the course in English
Requirements concerning Bachelor thesis. The process of writing and defending a Bachelor thesis. Introduction of topics offered by the potential supervisors. The focus of the Bachelor thesis and its internal structure - problem, research questions, research tasks, objective, hypotheses, research object, structure, extended thesis plan. Working with the literature - scientific papers versus regulatory documents, theoretical versus empirical papers, searching, systematising, the role and form of the literature review in a Bachelor thesis. Data sources - searching, introduction to databases available at TalTech. Methodology selection. Quantitative and qualitative research methods, mixed methods approach. Argumentation. Academic writing - main concepts, terminology, author's contribution, plagiarism, correct referencing style incl. TalTech School of Business and Governance requirements.
