Anda insenerlikke teadmisi ning kompetentsust hüdraulika ja pneumaatika kasutamise, töö põhimõtete, komponentide, ajami skeemide ja projekteerimise kohta. Õppeaine annab vajalikud teadmised ja oskused hüdraulika ja pneumaatika elemente efektiivseks ekspluateerimiseks ning otstarbekohaseks kasutamiseks mitmesugustes masinaehituslikes projektides väga erinevates tehnikavaldkondades.

The aim is to give to the students engineering knowledge of the nowadays hydraulic and pneumatic systems, its working principles, components, system and circuit design. This subject gives necessary knowledge and skills for the effective exploitation of the pneumatic and hydraulic systems in different machinery projects and technical areas.

Pneumaatika. Ajalugu ja kasutusvaldkonnad. Pneumosüsteemide eelised ja puudused. Pneumaatika füüsikalised alused. Pneumosüsteemi ehitus ning kasutatavad seadmed: konstruktsioonid, tööpõhimõtted ning tingmärgid. Pneumosüsteemide projekteerimise põhimõtted ja arvutusmeetodid, pneumoseadmete dimensioneerimine. Pneumaatika skeemide koostamise põhimõtted. Funktsioon- ja sammdiagrammid. Pneumaatika tüüpskeemid. Elektropneumaatika. Eelised ja puudused. Elektropneumaatika füüsikalised alused. Elektropneumaatika süsteemide ehitus ning kasutatavad seadmed: konstruktsioonid, tööpõhimõtted ning tingmärgid. Elektropneumaatika skeemide koostamise põhimõtted ning kasutatavad tüüpskeemid. Hüdraulika. Ajalugu ning kasutusvaldkonnad. Hüdrosüsteemide eelised ja puudused. Hüdraulika füüsikalised alused. Pneumatics. History and applications. Advantages and disadvantages of the pneumatic systems. Basic physical principles. Structure of the pneumatic system and equipment used: constructions, working principles and symbols. Pneumatic systems design principles, dimensioning of the pneumatic devices. Principles of the designing of pneumatic circuit diagrams. Functional and step diagrams. Basic pneumatic circuits.
Electropneumatics. Advantages and disadvantages. Basic physical principles. Structure of the electropneumatic system and equipment used: constructions, working principles and symbols. Principles of the designing of electropneumatic circuit diagrams and basic circuits.

Structure of the hydraulic system and equipment used: constructions, working principles and symbols. Hydraulic fluids. Principles of the designing of hydraulic systems. Hinnet moodustavad pneumaatika ning elektropneumaatika teooria kirjalik eksam(30%), hüdraulika teooria kirjalik eksam (30%), hüdraulika ülesanne (30%) ning praktika tööde kaitsmine(10%). Eksami eelduseks on arvestatud kodutööd ning kaitstud laboritööd.

Examination consists of the pneumatics and electropneumatics theory written exam (30%), hydraulics theory written exam (30%), hydraulic system calculation written exam (30%) and the oral defence of the practical works (10%). The requirements for taking the examination are passed homeworks and defended practical works.
