Aine eesmärk on:
- anda teadmisi ja oskusi organisatsiooni strateegilise eesmärgistamise, organisatsiooni ülesehituse ja rollide kirjeldamise osas;
- mõtestada juhi rolli kaasaegses organisatsioonis, anda juhile vajalikke teadmisi ja oskuseid koostöösuhete kujundamisel, elluviimise juhtimisel ning organisatsiooni arengu ja muutuste juhtimisel;
- rakendada omandatud teadmiste ja oskuste kasutamist organisatsioonide ning juhtimise uurimisel.

The aim of this course is to:
- provide knowledge and skills related to the strategic goal-setting of an organization, the structure of the organization, and the description of roles;
- conceptualize the role of a leader in a modern organization, and provide the leader with the necessary knowledge and skills for building collaborative relationships, managing implementation, and leading organizational development and change;
- apply the acquired knowledge and skills in the study of organizations and leadership.

Õppeaine läbinud üliõpilane:
1. kirjeldab organisatsiooni DNA (missiooni, väärtuste, visiooni) rolli juhtimiskultuuris ja koostamise viise;
2. kirjeldab strateegia loome ja testimise mehhanisme;
3. kirjeldab organisatsiooni rolle ja nende seoseid;
4. mõtestab juhi rolli kaasaegses organisatsioonis;
5. mõistab ja oskab lihtsal tasemel kasutada peamiseid juhtimistööriistu;
6. mõistab juhtimiskvaliteedi tähendust ja selle hindamise võimalusi.

After completing this course the student is able to:
1. describe the role of an organization's DNA (mission, values, vision) in leadership culture and the methods for developing it;
2. describe the mechanisms of strategy creation and testing;
3. describe organizational roles and their interrelations;
4. conceptualize the role of a leader in a modern organization;
5. understand and use basic management tools at a fundamental level;
6. understand the meaning of management quality and the possibilities for its evaluation.

Õppeaines käsitletakse organisatsiooni strateegilise planeerimise ja organisatsiooni arhitektuuri teemasid aktiivse kogemusõppe vormis gruppides. Juhi rolli ja juhtimistööriistade teemasid käsitletakse peamiselt personaalse eneseanalüüsi vormis. Kõigi teemad juures käsitletakse teooriat väikeste portsudena, sidudes selle vahetult praktiliste harjutuste ja aruteludega.
brief description of the course in English
In the course, topics related to organizational strategic planning and organizational architecture are explored in groups through active experiential learning. Topics concerning the role of the leader and management tools are addressed primarily through personal self-analysis. In all topics, theory is introduced in small portions and is directly linked to practical exercises and discussions.
