Aine läbinud üliõpilane:
• Oskab hinnata geoloogiliste lähteandmete esinduslikkust ja usaldusväärsust;
• Oskab erialatarkavara abil koostada maavaralasundite geoloogilisi mudeleid;
• Valib sobivaimad interpoleerimisvõtteid lähtuvalt modelleeritavat objektist ;
• Tunneb põhilisi geostatistika võtteid maavara uuringul;
• Oskab erialatarkavara abil teha maavarade varude arvutusi ja hinnata seotud määramatusi;
• Raporteerib saadud tulemusi vastavalt JORC koodeksile.

• Estimates quality of primary exploration datasets;
• Creates resource models from exploration datasets using; appropriate software tools and various estimation techniques;
• Knows drawbacks of various estimation methods;
• Report resources using the JORC code.

Geoloogiline baasinfo. GIS ja spetsiaalsed tarkvararakendused maavara varu arvutusteks. Geoloogilise andmebaasi koostamine. Maavaralasundite geoloogilise ruumimudeli koostamine. Erinevad interpoleerimismeetodid. Plokkmudelid varuhinnanguteks. Andmete statistiline ja geostatistiline analüüs. Varuarvutuste tulemuste raporteerimine.

Assessment of the primary data. GIS applications and dedicated software tools for resource modelling. Database development. Generation of geological model of the deposit. Different interpolation methods for modelling. Block models for resource estimations. Statistical and geostatistical analyses of data. Assessment of uncertainty in resource estimations. Classification and reporting of exploration results.
