Kursuse eesmärgiks on anda tudengitele oskused ja teadmised uurimistöö/lõputöö kirjutamiseks.

The aim of this course is to enable the students to develop the skills and knowledge how to write a thesis.

Üliõpilane tunneb erinevaid uurimismeetodeid, oskab valida oma uurimistöö jaoks sobiliku meetodi ning seda rakendada.
Oskab oma uurimistöö jaoks informatsiooni koguda ning seda kasutada.
Oskab vormistada esitlust ning seda enesekindlalt ka ette kanda.

At the completion of the class, the student will be able to understand key concepts of science methodology. The student knows how to select a suitable methodology for the thesis, how to gather, analyse and use the information. The student will be able to compile a presentation and be confident to present the presentation.

Kursusel käsitletavad teemad:
Teadustöö vormid ja meetodid, nõuded teadustööle ja teadustöö koostamise etapid, teema valik, eesmärk, ülesanded ja hüpotees, kirjanduse läbitöötamine, andmete kogumine, analüüs, töö struktuur, töö vormistamine, tabelarvutus ja tekstitöötlusprogrammid, teadusartikli kirjutamine, ettekande – ja postri koostamine, põhiteadmised esinemiskunstist.

During this course student will get aim of research forms and methods. Requirements for a thesis. How to choose a topic for a thesis. How to find information, analyse and use it for the thesis. How to write a thesis. How to structure the work. How to write an article for a science magazine, how to present work at a conference and how to make a poster for the conference.

Arvestuse saamiseks tuleb esitada lõputöö projekt, seda kaitsta, osaleda vähemalt 3 lõputöö seminaril ning presenteerida eelkaitsmisel oma lõputööd.

For positive result student must submit a thesis project and defend it, participate at seminars (at least 3) and participate at thesis preliminary defending.

Kursuse lõpuks koostab üliõpilane lõputöö projekti ja eelkaitsmise esitluse.

At the completion of the class, the student will write a thesis project and will defend it on preliminary defending.
