Aine eesmärk on anda:
- ülevaade erinevatest anduritest ja meetoditest, mida kasutatakse füüsiliste objektide 3D digiteerimiseks ning kaugseire tegemiseks;
- praktilised oskused 3D digiteerimise ja kaugseire läbiviimiseks;
- praktilised oskused kogutud andmete töötlemiseks ja analüüsimiseks fotogramm-meetria ja GIS tarkvaraga.

The aim of this course is to:
- give an overview of different sensors and methods that are used in digitizing 3D objects and in remote sensing;
- teach practical skills how to carry out 3D digitization and remote sensing;
- teach practical skills how to process and analyse data using photogrammetry and GIS software.

Aine läbinud üliõpilane:
- oskab planeerida ja läbi viia drooniga kaardistamist;
- teab drooni lennutamise reegleid Eestis;
- oskab teha fotosid objektist või maa-alast fotogramm-meetrilise 3D mudeli loomise eesmärgil;
- loob 3D mudeleid fotodest, kasutades fotogramm-meetria tarkvara;
- kasutab ja analüüsib 3D andmeid GIS tarkvaras.

After completing this course, the student:
- knows how to plan and carry out a drone mapping mission;
- knows regulation for flying drones in Estonia;
- knows how to capture images of an object or an area for photogrammetric reconstruction purposes;
- creates 3D models using photogrammetry software;
- uses and analyses 3D data in GIS software.

Ülevaade droonidest, erinevatest kaugseire anduritest ja nende kasutamisest. Droonide lennutamise regulatsioonid. Lendude planeerimine. Andmekogumine õhust (drooniga) ja maa pealt erinevate anduritega. Fotogramm-meetria olemus ja rakendused. Andmetöötlus fotogramm-meetria tarkvaraga. 3D- ja laserskannerite olemus ja kasutamine. 3D andmete kasutamine ja analüüsimine GIS tarkvaras.
Kursuse läbimine eeldab varasemat kokkupuudet ArcGIS Pro tarkvaraga.

Overview of drones, different remote sesing sensors and their applications. Drone flight regulation. Flight planning. Aerial and terrestrial data capture using different sensors. Overview of photogrammetry and its applications. Data processing in photogrammetry. 3D and laser scanners. Using 3D data and performing analyses in GIS software.
Knowledge of ArcGIS Pro is a prerequisite to the course.
