Anda üliõpilastele teadmised:
- vundamentide liikidest;
- vundamentide projekteerimise alustest - standardid, piirseisundid, koormused, osavarutegurid, ehitiste piirvajumid ja deformatsioonid;
- jaotusvundamendi projekteerimisest;
- vaiade liikidest ja vaivundamendi projekteerimisest;
- ehitise ja pinnase koostöö arvestamise meetoditest;
- einnase parendamise võimalustest;
- sügavvundamentide projekteerimisest;
- dünaamiliste koormustega masinavundamentide projekteerimisest;
- vundamendisüvendite projekteerimisest;
- vundamentide tugevdamisest.

Give to student knowledge about:
- types of foundations;
- basis of geotechnical design - standards, limit states, actions, partial factors, limiting values of foundation movements and structural deformations;
- design of spread foundations;
- types of piles and design of pile foundations;
- design with taking into account the soil-structure interaction;
- improvement of soil properties;
- design of deep foundations;
- design of foundations for machinery with dynamic loading;
- design of excavations for foundations;
- underpinning of foundations.

Aine läbinud üliõpilane oskab:
- valida otstarbekat vundamendi tüüpi olenevalt pinnasetingimustest, koormustest ja ehitise iseloomust;
- projekteerida erinevaid tüüpi vundamente;
- arvestada ehitise ja pinnase koostööd;
- valida vajadusel sobivaid pinnase parendamise meetodeid;
- kavandada vundamendi tugevdamist.

- choose the proper type of foundation for given soil conditions, loads and character of structure;
- design different types of foundations;
- take into account the soil-structure interaction;

Vundamendi tüübid. Põhinõuded vundamendile. Projekteerimise aluse Eurostandardi järgi. Vajumite ja vajumite erimite piirväärtused. Vundamendi tüübi ja süvise valik. Jaotusvundamendid. Tüübid ja materjalid. Vajalike mõõtmete määramine. Vajumite prognoosimine. Vaiade ja vaivundamentide liigid. Vaivundamendi projekteerimine. Horisontaalkoormusega vaia arvutus. Tõmbele töötavad vaiad. Sügavvundamendi projekteerimine. Pinnase ja ehitise koostöö arvestamine - põhilised arvutusmeetodid. Pinnase omaduste parendamine - tihendamine, keemiline töötlus, Geosünteetide kasutamine. Vundamendi rajamise eriküsimused - kaeviku nõlvade tugistus, sulundseinte projekteerimine. Vundamentide tugevdamine. Dünaamiliste koormustega masinavundamendid. Kursuseprojekti sisuks on ehitise vundamendi projekti koostamine.

Types of foundations. The fundamental requirements. Basics of design by Eurocode 7. Limit values of total and differential settlements. Choice of type and depth of foundations. Spread foundations. Types and materials. Calculation of required dimensions. Prediction of settlement. Types of piles and pile foundations. Bearing capacity of piles. Design of pile foundation. Calculation of piles with lateral loads. Tensile piles. Design of deep foundation. Soil-structure interaction - basic methods of calculation. Improvement of soils, compaction, chemical treatment, geosynthics. Special problems of foundation construction. Support of the excavations. Design of the sheet piling. Underpinning. Foundations for machinery with dynamic loads. Project of foundation of structure.
