Luua õppepraktika raames tegelikule tööolukorrale lähedased tingimused. Võimaldada praktikaga kinnistada eelnenud akadeemilise aasta jooksul omandatud erinevaid geodeetilisi mõõtmismeetodeid. Demonstreerida mõõtmistulemuste korrektse dokumenteerimise ja kuvamise olulisust.

Create conditions for geodetic surveying as it occurs in the actual working environment. To gain experience in the practical application of the various measurement methods taught during the prior academic year. To develop an appreciation of the importance of the survey recording, documentation and displaying of the results.

Üliõpilane:
- oskab juhendatava rühmatööna planeerida, organiseerida ja läbi viia geodeetiliste mõõtmiste etapiviisiliselt kui ka tervikuna;
- oskab välja töötada lihtsamate geodeetiliste mõõtmiste metoodikaid vastavalt konkreetsetele vajadustele ja oludele;
- kinnistunud on geodeetiliste tüüpmõõteriistade käsitlemise oskus reaalsetele tootmisolukordadele lähedastes tingimustes;
- kinnistanud on arusaam geodeetilisest andmetöötlusest ning aruandlusest;
- oskab korraldada erialaspetsiifilisi geodeetilisi töid.

Student:
- is able to plan, manage and execute geodetic measurements in a supervised team;
- is able to develop specifications and design measurement methods for a given geodetic problem;
- proficiency in the usage of the geodetic equipment in a production-type environment;
- develop the geodetic data processing and reporting skills;
- is able to organize the specialty specific geodetic works.

Juhendatava mõõtebrigaadi koosseisus rühmatööna on vajalik läbi viia järgmised tööd:
1. Järgmiste geodeetiliste instrumentide kontroll: teodoliit, nivelliir, mõõdulint, ekker.
2. Teodoliitkäigu rajamine, selle mõõtmis- ja arvutustööd.
3. Maa-ala tahhümeetriline mõõdistamine. Välitööde tegemine, arvutustööd, topograafilise plaani koostamine.
4. Geomeetriline nivelleerimine: käigu ja pinna nivelleerimine, arvutustööd, nivelleerimisplaani koostamine.
5. Täppisnivelleerimine.
6. Trassi mõõdistamine, kõverate märkimistööd.
7. Levinumate erialaspetsiifiliste ülesannete lahendamine Insenerialad - nurkade, kauguste, kõrguste ja koordinaatide väljamärkimine, ehitiste märkimine, kontrollmõõtmised, kaevude geodeetilised uuringud. Arhitektid ja sisekliima spetsialistid - hoone osade mõõdistamine, fassaadijoonised, mahtude määramine.

Surveying practice involves supervised teamwork in order to execute the following works:
1. Testing the following equipments: theodolite, levelling instrument, measuring tape and optical reflector.
2. The traverse measurements and computations
3. Tacheometric survey: field work, data processing, drawing of the map.
4. Spirit levelling - leveling of a line, grid leveling, plotting of the results;
5. Precise levelling.
6. Route surveys: setting out, transfer curves.
7. Common speciality specific surveying tasks including (but not limited to): setting out of pre-defined angles, distances, heights and coordinates; setting out of buildings; control surveying.
