- õpetada lõplike elementide meetodi kasutamise põhimõtteid;
- anda ülevaade ehituskonstruktsioonide projekteerimisel kasutatavast tarkvarast;
- õpetada teras- ja raudbetoonkonstruktsioonide modelleerimise põhimõtteid;
- õpetada ehituse informatsiooni modelleerimist (BIM) arhitekti ja ehituskonstruktori kontekstis.

- to teach basics of the finite element method;
- to give knowledge about CAE software
- to teach basics of modelling of the reinforced concrete and steel structures
- to teach building information modelling (BIM) according to relationship between architect and structural engineer.

Aine läbinud üliõpilane peab oskama:
- kasutada lõplike elementide meetodit ehituskonstruktsioonide staatika arvutustes;
- peab oskama põhjendada lõpliku elemendi tüübi valikut;
- kasutada staatika arvutustes programme Robot Millennium ja Staad Pro, ja kontrollida saadud arvutustulemuste õigsust;
- teadma ehituse informatsiooni modelleerimise (BIM) süsteemi töötamise põhimõtteid, peab oskama algtasemel kasutada programmi AutoDesk Revit Structure Suite;
- oskama modelleerida lihtsamaid raudbetoon- ja teraskonstruktsioone.

Student having passed the course should be able:
- to use finite element method solving structural mechanics exercises;
- to give reasons about choosing the type of the finite element;
- to use the StaadPro and Robot Millennium software and to verify results of calculations;
- to have knowledge about BIM principles and to use AutoDesk Revit Structure Suite as a beginner;
- to compose the calculation models of reinforced concrete and steel structures.

Lõplike elementide meetod. Tasapindne ja ruumiline talaelement. Tasapindne membraan- ja plaatelement. Koorikelement. Võrrandisüsteemid ja nende lahendamise meetodid. BIM arhitekti ja ehituskonstruktori kasutusalas. Autodesk Revit Structure Suite kasutamine. Terasest varraskonstruktsioonide modelleerimine. Raudbetoonist jäikusdiafragmade modelleerimine. Raudbetoonplaatide modelleerimine. Hoone konstruktsioonide 3D modelleerimine. Mudelite koormamine ja koormuskombinatsioonide moodustamine. Arvutusprogrammide StaadPro ja Robot Millenniumi kasutamine.

BIM according to field of application of architect and structural engineer. Using the Autodesk Revit Structure Suite. The modelling of steel structures using beam elements.
