Õppeaine läbimisel üliõpilane:
- omab ülevaadet ettevõtte rahanduse/finantsjuhtimise üldistest põhimõtetest, juhtimisarvestuse andmete kasutamisest juhtimisotsuste tegemiseks;
- saab aru rahandusplaneerimise vajalikkusest ja teab ettevõtte üldise finantsanalüüsi korraldamist;
- oskab teostada finantskavandamist ja -analüüsi ettevõttes ning tegeleda põhi- ja käibevara finantsjuhtimisega;
- teab raha väärtust olevikus ja tulevikus ning finantseerimise võimalusi ning seotud riske;
- oskab hinnata ettevõtte kapitali hinda, investeerimisprojektide tasuvust, firma dividendipoliitikat, ettevõtte tegevusedukust jms;
- on harjutanud tabelarvutusprogrammi kasutamist finantssituatsioonide lahendamiseks.

After the successful completion of the course a student:
- has acquired knowledge about main concepts, theories and models in corporate finance and knows appropriate financial terminology;
- is able to apply financial theories in practice, to conduct financial planning and analysis;
- is aware of the role and cost of money at present and in the future, can estimate the cost of capital; knows sources of financing and concurrent risks;
- knows how to conduct capital budgeting, can calculate depreciation and analyse investment projects, can assess the cost of an enterprise and evaluate financial performance;
- has improved their skills in spreadsheet modeling in the field of corporate finance.

Ettevõtte finantsjuhtimine teoorias ja praktikas – finantsjuhtimise põhikontseptsioonid, finantskavandamine ning ettevõtte finantseerimis-, investeerimis- ja dividendiotsused; ettevõtte restruktureerimine.
Aeg ja raha väärtus (nüüdisväärtus; tulevikuväärtus). Rahandusseosed ja arvutused ettevõtte loomisel, tasuvuspunkti arvutamine.
Lühi- ja pikaajaline finantskavandamine, käibekapitali ja rahavoogude juhtimine, dividendipoliitika, väärtpaberite analüüs, riskijuhtimine; inflatsioon, finantskriisid. Ettevõtete väärtuse hindamine, väärtusloome, kapitalistruktuuri kujundamine ja kapitali eelarvestamine, finantstasakaalu hoidmine ettevõttes.
Tabelarvutuse rakendamine finantssituatsioonide analüüsimisel.
Õppeaine peamine suund on pideva rahandusliku tasakaalu säilitamiseks vajalike töömeetodite ja -võtete omandamine.

Theoretical and practical aspects of financial management of enterprises: basic concepts in finance, financial planning; allocation of investments, distribution of dividends, corporate restructuring.
Time value of money (present, future). Financial aspects and calculations connected with starting a business, break-even.
Links between different investment indexes; use of these indexes for making financial forecast and gain forecast discount. Short-term and long-term financial planning. Working capital and cash-flow management. Dividends. Securities. Risk management. Valuation and value based management. Structure of capital. Capital budget procedures. Financial balance of a company. Procedures and practices towards establishing financial balance.
Complex cases will be analyzed by using spreadsheet software.
Practical tasks and assignments, case studies, situation analysis, problem solving.
