Üliõpilane:
1. Omab põhjalikku ülevaadet raha ajaväärtusest ning oskusi selle rakendamiseks erinevate rahandusprobleemide kontekstis;
2. Tunneb ettevõtte finantsaruandeid ning on võimeline hindama tema finantsseisundit ning tulemuslikkust rahandussuhtarvude abil;
3. Mõistab investeeringute hindamise protsessi ettevõttes ning oskab rakendada peamisi investeeringute hindamise meetodeid;
4. Teab peamisi kapitali struktuuri teooriaid ning on võimeline hindama ettevõtte kapitali hinda;
5. Saab aru efektiivse käibekapitali juhtimise põhimõtetest selle komponentide lõikes;
6. Mõistab finantsturgude toimimist ning peamiste finantsinstrumentide omadusi ja kasutamise võimalusi.

The student:
1. Has a thorough understanding of the concept of time value of money and the skills to apply this to solve and evaluate different finance problems;
2. Is familiar with financial statements of a company and is able to evaluate the financial position and performance by applying financial ratios;
3. Understands the process of capital budgeting and applies main budgeting techniques and tools to evaluate investment projects.
4. Has knowledge about main theories of capital structure and is able to estimate the company’s cost of capital;
5. Has an understanding about an efficient working capital management by its components.
6. Understands the operation of financial markets and characteristics and uses of financial instruments.

Sissejuhatus ettevõtte rahanduse põhivaldkondadesse ning ettevõtte finantskeskkonda. Raha ajaväärtus ja selle rakendused. Väärtpaberid ja nende väärtus. Ülevaade finantsaruandlusest ja peamistest finantsanalüüsi meetoditest. Risk ja tulu, sissejuhatus portfelliteooriasse. Investeerimisprojekti lisanduvate rahavoogude hindamine. Investeeringute hindamise meetodid: arvestuslik rentaablus, tasuvusaeg, nüüdispuhasväärtus (NPV), sisemine tasuvusmäär (IRR), modifitseeritud sisemine tasuvusmäär (MIRR), ekvivalentne annuiteet. Riski analüüs projektide hindamisel. Kapitali struktuur ja kaalutud keskmine kapitali hind (WACC). Kapitali struktuuri teooriad, ja dividendipoliitika. Ülevaade tuletisväärtpaberitest (optsioonid, forward, futuurid, swapid jne) ja nende rakendused riskide juhtimisel. Käibekapitali juhtimine (sh likviidsuse, debitoorse võla ning varude juhtimine) ja ettevõtte lühiajaline finantseerimine.

Introduction to the main topics in corporate finance and corporate financial environment. Time value of money and applications. Securities and valuation. Overview of financial statements and main methods for financial analysis. Risk and return, introduction to portfolio theory. Evaluation of the incremental cash flows of an investment project. Evaluation methods for capital budgeting: accounting rate of return, payback, net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR), modified internal rate of return (MIRR) equivalent annuity. Risk analysis in capital budgeting. Company financing and weighted average cost of capital (WACC). Capital structure theories, dividend policy. Overview of derivative instruments (options, forward contracts, futures, swaps) and their applications in risk management. Working capital management (incl. liquidity management, receivables inventories) and short term financing. Fundamental valuation of a company.
