To provide the student with general knowledge of engineering, drawing practice and give knowledge to prepare and read technical drawings and their requirements.

Õppeaine edukal läbimisel üliõpilane:
 teab ja oskab kasutada joonestusalaseid põhimõisteid;
 tunneb ja oskab joonestada kehade ruumilisi kujutisi ja projektsioone;
 teab ja rakendab põhilisi jooniste vormistamise nõudeid;
 oskab lugeda ja joonestada erinevate tehniliste detailide tööjooniseid;
 oskab lugeda ja valmistada lihtsaid koostejooniseid, sealhulgas laeva-ehituses.

To pass successfully, the student has to:
- know and use the main terms;
- know and is able to draw the three- dimensional image and projection of the body;
- know and is able to use the main requirements for drawing;
- is able to understand and draw the drawings of different technical parts;
- is able to understand and draw the composed parts drawings, including in ship building.

Joonestusvahendid. Jooniste vormistamine. Punkti ja sirge projektsioonid. Geomeetrilised konstruktsioonid ja kehad.
Ruumiline kujutamine.
Kujutiste liigid: vaated, lõiked jm. Tolerantside ja muude erinõuete näitamine joonistel. Tüüpdetailide joonised. Koostejoonised. Joonised merenduses ja laevaehituses.

Geometrical structures and bodies.
Three-dimensional portrayal.
Types of images: views, sections, etc.
Displaying tolerances and other specific requirements in the drawings. Type detail drawings. Composed parts drawings. Drawings of maritime and ship building.
