VERSION SPECIFIC DATA
course aims in Estonian
Aine eesmärk on anda oskused määrata ja kasutada laeva hüdrostaatilisi andmeid, arvutada püstuvust, laevakere pingete seisundit, kreeni ja trimmi vastavalt konventsiooni STCW-78 koos muudatustega osa AII/1 nõuetele.
course aims in English
The learning objective of the course is to obtain the competence of finding and using the ship's hydrostatic particulars, calculating intact stability, stress conditions of a ship, heel, list and trim in compliance with the requirements of STCW-78 AII/1 as amended.
learning outcomes in the course in Est.
Õppeaine läbinud üliõpilane:
- teab ja tunneb laevaehitusliku joonestamise aluseid, laeva hüdrostaatiliste kõverate ehitust, püstuvuse arvutamise metoodikat, kreeni ja trimmi arvutamise metoodikat;
- teab ja arvestab laeva püstuvust mõjutavaid tegureid igas olukorras, vee sissetungi tagajärgede arvutust, laevakerele mõjuvate jõudude ja pingete arvutust, IMO soovitusi laeva püstuvuse suhtes;
- oskab arvutada laeva süviseid erinevates tingimustes, kasutada lastiskaalat, kasutada laeva teoreetilist joonist, ehitada laeva hüdrostaatilisi kõveraid teoreetilise joonise alusel, arvutada laeva püstuvust, arvutada ja korrigeerida kreeni ja trimmi;
learning outcomes in the course in Eng.
After completing this course the student:
- understands basic ship design; hydrostatic curves of a ship; methods of calculating the stability of a ship; methods of calculating the heel, list and trim;
- understands factors affecting the ship’s stability in all circumstances; the calculation of consequences of flooding and bilging; the calculation of strains and stresses in ships, IMO recommendations concerning ship stability;
- is able to calculate the ship’s draughts at different loading conditions; to use the deadweight scale; to use the preliminary drawing of a ship; to produce hydrostatic curves based on the preliminary drawing; to calculate the ship’s stability; to calculate and modify the ship’s heel, list and trim;
- is able to calculate or find out basic data for determining ship’s stability; to use existing tables, diagrams and equipment for determining ship’s stability and longitudinal strength; to use the Loading and Stability Manual.
