VERSION SPECIFIC DATA
course aims in Estonian
Luua eeldused praktilise mereastronoomia omandamiseks ja rakendamiseks. Anda oskused määrata laeva asukohta ja kompassiõiendit astronoomilisel teel vastavalt konventsiooni STCW-78 koos muudatustega osa AII/1 nõuetele.
course aims in English
Purpose: The learning objective is to create a basis for the learning and application of practical celestial navigation. Also capability to determine the ship's position and compass error astronomically, in compliance with the requirements of part AII/1 of STCW-78 as amended.
learning outcomes in the course in Est.
Üliõpilane:
• Teab sfäärilise trigonomeetria aluseid, taevakehade liikumise seaduspärasusi, aja mõisteid, meresõiduastronoomias kasutatavate instrumentide ehitust, astronoomiliste vaatluste metoodikat, taevakehade järgi laeva asukoha ja kompassiõiendi määramise võtteid, asukoha täpsuse tõenäosusteooriat.
• Oskab kasutada merealmanahhe ja meretabeleid, kasutada astronavigatsiooni instrumente, teostada mereastronoomilisi vaatlusi ja kasutada mereastronoomilisi arvutiprogramme.
learning outcomes in the course in Eng.
The student has to understand basic spherical trigonometry; principles of the motion of celestial bodies; terms of the time, The student has to know the instruments for celestial navigation; the techniques of astronomical observations; the methods of determining the ship’s position and compass error by means of celestial navigation; the confidence level of a position fix.
