Laevaremondi planeerimise alused ja remondisüsteemid. Plaanilik-ennetuslik ja laeva seisukorrajärgne remondisüsteem, nende võrdlus. Laevaremondiettevõtete liigid ja struktuur. Remonttööde etapid ja nende teostamise järjekord. Kvaliteedi tagamise ja kontrolli süsteemid. Tööjõu ja materiaalsete ressursside planeerimine. Dokiremondi korraldamine, rooliseadmete ja käiturite remondi iseärasused.
Laevaehituses kasutatavad mustad ja värvilised metallid ning sulamid, nende omadused, kasutusalad ja markeerimine. Polümeer- ja sünteetilised materjalid, tihendid ja pastad. Mehhanismide ja torustike kinnitusviisid. Mehhanismide ja võlliliinide tsentreerimine. Kaasaegsed diagnostika ja defektide avastamise meetodid. Mehhanismide tüüpiliste vigastuste remont kaasaegsete meetoditega.

Principles of ship repair planning and repair systems. Planned prevention and ship status related repair system, their comparison. Types and structure of ship repair companies. Stages of repair operations and the order of their realization. Quality assurance and control systems. Work force and material resource planning. Dock repair organization, peculiarities of steering gear and actuators.
Ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys used in shipbuilding, their properties, fields of application and marking. Polymers and synthetic materials, gaskets and pastes. Hitches of mechanisms and tubing. Centring of mechanisms and shaft lines. Modern methods of diagnostics and defect detection. Repair of typical mechanism damage with modern methods.
