Aine läbinud üliõpilane:
- teab ja hindab uusi merendusvaldkonna digitaliseerimise suundumusi, võimalusi ja väljakutseid;
- hindab digitaliseerimise ja süsteemide integratsiooni vajadust ja riske;
- hindab, haldab ja juhib kaugjuhitavate ja autonoomsete laevandus-; laeva- ja sadamaoperatsioonide riske;
- tunneb kaasaegsed otsustustoesüsteeme ning nende rakendusi ohuolukordades ja laevade opereerimisel;
- tunneb ja kasutab juhtimis- ja kontrollkeskuseid pardal ja kaldal;
- oskab hinnata targa laeva ja digitaalse kaksiku kasutamise võimalusi navigeerimisel.

After completing this course, the student:
- knows and assesses the new trends, opportunities and challenges of digitization in the maritime sector;
- assesses the needs and risks of digitization and systems integration;
- assesses and manages risks for remote and autonomous shipping, vessel and port operations;
- is familiar with decision support systems and their applications in dangerous situations and ship operations;
- knows and handles command and control centers on board and ashore;
- is able to evaluate the use of a smart ship and digital twin in navigation.
