Anda üliõpilastele teadmised üldkasutatavate tõste- ja transpordiseadmete klassifiktsioonist, töötamise põhimõtetest, nende võimalustest ja otstarbest. Anda algteadmised tõsteseadmete elementidest. Arendada tehnilise mõtlemise ja lihtsamate elementide projekteerimise oskusi.

Student will get the knowledge of classification, working principles, scope and purpose of most commonly used hoisting and conveying equipments (HCE). Elementary knowledge of elements of hoisting equipment will be given. To develop skills of technical thinking and designing simpler elements.

Õppeaine edukalt läbinud üliõpilane:
• teab sadamas kasutatavate peamiste tõstetranspordiseadmete liike,
• teab tõstetseadmete võimalusi ja oskab selle järgi valida konkreetse seadmetüübi,
• orienteerub tõsteseadmete elementides ja teab nende tõrkeid ja tõrgete vältimise võimalusi,
• teab tõsteseadme ohutu ekspluateerimise põhilisi nõudeid,
• oskab kasutada erialast kirjandust ja selle abil lahendada lasti tõstmise ja transportimisega seotud lihtsamaid ülesandeid,
• tunneb tõste-transpordiseadmete alast eestikeelset terminoloogiat ja kasutab seda õigesti.

By passing the subject student will:
- Know main equipment types used in ports;
- Know possibilities of HCE and is able to choose the right equipment based on that;
- Understands elements of HCE and knows their failures and failure prevention possibilities;
- Knows the main requirements of safe exploitation of HCE;
- Is able to use professional literature and solve simpler assignments of HCE by using professional literature;
- Knows HCE terminology in estonian language and uses it correctly.

Tõstetranspordiseadmete (TTS) klassifikatsioon.Tsüklilise toimega TTS põhiparameetrid. TTS töörežiimi grupid. Mõjuvad koormused.
TTS elemendid: lastihaardeelemendid. Spetsiaalsed tükklasti haarajad. Polüspast. Paindelemendid. Elektriajam.
Sõidumehhanismid. TTS ohutu ekspluatatsiooni põhireeglid.Pidevtoimelised TTS: näitajad.Lintkonveierid.
Kettkonveierid: Rippkonveier: Elevaator, kaldtee, rulltee. Kiikkonveierid: inerts- ja vibrokonveier. Tigukonveier. Transporttoru.Pneumotransport: Laadurid ja laadimisseadmed.

HCE classification. Main parameters of cyclic HCE. Groups of HCE based on their working regime. Loads. HCE elements. Cargo grabbing devices. Special general cargo grabbing devices. Polyspast. Flexural elements.electrical gears. Driving mechanisms. Main rules of safe exploitation of HCE. Continuous HCE. Belt conveyors. Chain conveyors. Overhead conveyors. Elevators, ramps, roller roads. Swing conveyors: inertia and vibrating conveyors. Spiral conveyor. Transporttube. Pneumotransport. Loaders and loading equipment.
