Iseseisvaks tööks on üliõpilasel referaat õppejõu poolt antud teemade valikust. Referaat koostatakse vastavalt nõuetele ja saadetakse eelnevalt õppejõule. Kui referaat vastab nõuetele, järgneb selle avalik kaitsmine kursusekaaslaste ees.

For the independent research work, each student shall prepare a term paper on the topic from the list selected by the lecturer. The term paper shall be prepared according to requirements established by the Academy and shall first be sent to the lecturer for review.
Provided the term paper measures up to the aforementioned requirements, the student shall defend the term paper publicly in front of her/his course mates.
